Random thread related to low-known personal favourite singer Sue Wilkinson.
Her main hit "You Gotta Be A Hustler If You Wanna Get On".

Hit single featured Slade's Don Powell, as she was signed to Slade manager Chas Chandler's Cheapskate Records.

I remember ".....Hustler....." from when Radio 1's Mark & Lard played it, when this pop classic became a surprise big hit circa the turn of the century:

"You Gotta Be A Hustler If You Wanna Get On" is the one from only three songs with 10 and more weeks at # 1 in my personal charts from 1960 to 2015.
"The Facts Of Life" also was # 1 in my chart.

Underrated legend. Sadly her album is not available anywhere. Now all her other singles were removed form YouTube. It was very silly thing to do it. She died in January 2005, her album is big rarity. I think that her music also is not available in I-Tunes and Spotify. So YouTube was only the one source with her music.

that's a shame. I guess it's to do with song copyrights or the record label being owned by someone else now...

I believe that the one thing any musician wants to leave behind them when they die is a legacy of their music.
Therefore all dead artists should have all their music available on streaming platforms.
I have also made music, some of which is on youtube and I want all my music to be available when I go. I'd actually like to make better versions of some of them.
