Player power works again. Very interesting to see who they have lined up, who has to work with those same players!

Player power works again. Very interesting to see who they have lined up, who has to work with those same players! Someone has posted the following at the Liverpool FC board: Gary Rowett 3/1 Alan Pardew 4/1 Martin O'Neil 5/1 Michael Laudrup 8/1 Roy Hodgson 8/1 Bet365 have also placed Roberto Mancini at 5/2 while elsewhere Gus Hiddink is 6/1. In other words, no-one really knows!

Excluding my own club, I can't think of a managerial sacking that's made me sadder than Ranieri's . Sacked after overachieving the year before, reminds me of Brian McDermott the first time round. I mentioned this before but Leicester this season remind me so much of Reading 2007/2008, play in a prestigious pre-season tournament (Reading's was the Peace Cup in South Korea) and then basically only turn up for the big games in the season itself.
I wanted them to stay up but now I'm not sure i'm that bothered.

Leaving for Wembley shortly. Expecting to see my team soundly thrashed by United, but we travel in hope. Wish us luck.

Sadly, it wasn't to be...
Man Utd 3 Southampton 2.
I only saw snippets of the match but Southampton did well to come back to 2-2 after being 2-0 down. Man Utd scored the winner in the 87th minute

Such a shame that I couldn't see it over here. I followed online updates. Seems like a very good game.

Tremendous atmosphere. Excellent game. One of the best Southampton FC performances I've ever seen (and I've been to over 300 matches).
Sadly, it wasn't to be. Sometimes the worse team wins - it is part of what makes football so exciting. But it is still gutting when it happens to your team.

This made me laugh PSV goalkeeper moans that goal line technology could have cost his team title race. The keeper says if the ref hadn't had the goal line technology watch then he wouldn't have given a goal in game between Eredivisie and Feyenoord. So the PSV keeper wants to cheat to win the title? uk.yahoo.com/sports/news/psv-keeper-zoet-bemoans-feyenoords-090613297.html

Half time in our biggest game of the season so far, Newcastle are playing OK but there have been times when Brighton have been all over us like a rash...
Brighton 1 Newcastle 0
It was almost 1-1 but Brighton's goalie pulled off a wonderful save in the third minute of injury time.

And unbelievably we've won 2-1! In the second half we turned up the heat and Brighton's defence fell apart in the last 10 minutes.

Even better I had a £10 bet on Newcastle to win 2-1, at odds of 10-1, so I'm looking forward to going to the bookies tomorrow to pick up my winnings!

EDIT: Oh, you've edited it For some reason I thought Tom had made the post, which I found a bit confusing as I know he's a Reading supporter! So I did a double check and realised it was your good self who had posted it - sorry about that suedehead, I had hoped that my edit might have been quick enough before you read it!

I saw Newcastle's equaliser in that game against Brighton and if ever a goal were a complete fluke that has to be it.
One player shot miles wide and it just ricocheted off another player and into the goal.

Newcastle may be unstoppable now? I hope so but we're still not really playing consistently well. I've just picked up my winnings from last night and have put a tenner on Newcastle beating Huddersfield 1-0 on Saturday at odds of 13/2.

Newcastle played really well after going behind, but have a tough run to come, Huddersfield, Reading and Fulham could all throw a spanner in the works but they are by far the best team in the league in every possible way
