Is anyone else yawning in boredom at this Slovakia v England game? We were close to scoring a few minutes ago, the post saving Slovakia, but where is this "new era"..? Even by England standards that match was woeful. Time for Allardyce to go. Looks like I've got my wish.

He should have been sacked for dropping Marcus Rashford; using the excuse for not selecting Ross Barkley "because he is a liability for wanting to play all over the park"; then justifying Wayne Rooney's lamentable performance by saying "I can't tell Wayne Rooney where to play on the pitch .."

FA paying the price for not taking corruption in the British game seriously. I'm sure Allardyce was implicated in one of the old agents & managers all in it together investigations from years ago. The FA turned a blind eye, and have continued to let anything go. Just like their pointless fit-and-proper requirements for club ownership. It must have been so easy to stitch up Allardyce. I'm sure the other papers are kicking themselves for not getting in sooner.
Looks like Nigel Pearson will be available for the job in a couple of days.

The Telegraph are milking their bung sting for all its worth as it seems they are going to be drip feeding names. Tonight they have named:
QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink - filmed negotiating a £55k fee to work for agency which wanted to sell players to club
Barnsley assistant manager Tommy Wright - filmed receiving a £5k bung. He has been suspended by the club
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has also been named.
There will be higher profile managers that that they are holding back from naming as some were said to be Premier League or ex Premier League managers.

Swansea have sacked their manager, Francesco Guidolin, and have appointed Bob Bradley as his replacement. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37542434I must admit I've never heard of Bob Bradley before but apparently he was the US manager at some point in the past...

yeah he was the guy who really transformed the American national team in 2006 when he took over, he was manager in the world cup when we drew 1-1 with USA

So Bob Bradley was good 10 years ago. I'd heard di matteo was going as well, my son thinks it's madness, but look at the table. How long do you give him?

he spent 15m on Kodjia and wont play him or Gestede who scored 20 last time he was in the championship, whilst I don't think managers should be sacked straight away he is clearly out of his depth

The Villa-is-a-basket-case story appears to go on. Apparently their Chinese owner, Tony Xia, watched their latest match on television and decided to ditch Di Matteo, having let him spend £60m this summer. Xia will now be writing his own on the pitch strategy for the club, before appointing a new manager. Xia's specialism is landscape gardening, and I don't believe China has ever produced a strategic master with regard to football.

If i remember right he was sacked by WBA for losing so much WBA thought he wasn't good enough. Villa was the wrong job for him, I still like Tim Sherwood, he has his flaws but Villa was the wrong team and subsuquently has been a poised chalice

Villa have massively underperformed this season (although Tshibola has only lost one game for them since joining for us and he was injured for a month so it makes you wonder if he's been missed - although that said he had a massively injury-hit season last season and they were still prepared to pay 5.5m for him, brilliant though he is they knew the risk), but didn't Di Matteo win promotion at WBA? So he can't be that bad.

Bradley was linked with the Villa job a few years ago when Randy Lerner was running the club. He did a great job with the USA and almost got Egypt to the World Cup as well. He's been in the French 2nd Division for the last year or so but deserves a chance in a top league.

Yeah he did Tom. Wba were a yoyo team at the time and we're pretty stable though. It's easy to steer a club when they they are heading in the right direction. No major changes were neciserry

Cardiff sacked Paul Trollope yesterday, not the most surprising sacking, and have replaced him with Neil Warnock.
