Meanwhile, a great win for Marske United, beating big-spending South Shields (whose team includes Julio Arca!) 3-1!

My local team, Washington managed a 2-2 draw with Newton Aycliffe. Attendance - a massive 104! The crowds are lower these days since we upped sticks and moved from Albany Park to Nissan but by recent standards that's not too bad. I wanted to go to the match yesterday but my mate decided in the end to go to the local funfair which is on this weekend in the town instead! Ah, well. Let's hope Washington can pull off a good result in the replay on Tuesday... misterhamster might be interested to know we play Marske United in the Northern League on Saturday 27 August! www.clubwebsite.co.uk/washingtonfootballclub/50462/Matches/report/6241704

We were looking at the results last night, wasn't there a 12-0 and a 5-7? And a 9-0 and 8-0, Shildon beat bedding ton 6-1 as well, so Daz will be happy! I never realised what the afc stands for at the new Liverpool club either. I was amazed to see Loxwood playing and winning, small village my mother in law lived at, didn't think they were in the pyramid, unless it is another Loxwood?

If Portishead had lost, we could still have said that all is Wells.

Harrogate Railway made it through as well, which is quite amazing as they appeared to be crap recently! Both our teams winning 2-0, nice one!

PORTISHEAD TOWN 1-4 Swindon Supermarine
Lincoln United 6-1 DUNKIRK
2nd Qualifying Round:
Nuneaton Town v LINCOLN UNITED
SWINDON SUPERMARINE v Farnborough
Sadly, Marske lost 2-0 at home to Marine after one of the most inept refereeing displays you could ever see.

It cant be worse than that ref giving Scotland a penalty for nothing against Malta? But yes I saw both our teams were sunk in this round
