I know I could have stuck this in the TV forum, but seeing as old TOTP episode are in the Retro Lounge ....BBC Four are bringing back Pop Quiz (presented by Mike Read) with two editions to be shown over the festive season. A decent line-up of 1980s pop stars as guests for the two editions (to be recorded later this month): www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2016/pop-quiz-returns

Will this be a new pop quiz with questions that include pop music in the 21st century? (I would fail dismally).
Or did pop music end sometime in the mid-90s or earlier?

I thought Mike Read was a confirmed racist ? I must be thinking of someone else.

I've just caught up on these and thoroughly enjoyed them both. There were only a couple of intros that I didn't get, and got most of the lyrics and years too.
I don't wish to sound rude as I still love her, but carol Decker used to be so so pretty back in the day.

I watched the first one of these on the iPlayer last night, I'm not sure it totally worked. I really enjoyed the quiz element but the 80s pop star swinging from a hotel chandelier type anecdotes were so forced they were a little bit embarrassing
