1964
My # 1 :
Petula Clark - Downtown (# 1 debut)
UK # 1 :
Beatles - I Feel Fine
First Christmas # 1 for an English singer and actress Petula Clark, whose career has spanned seven decades.
"Downtown" became an international hit, reaching No. 1 in Billboard Hot 100 and rose to No. 2 UK in December 1964, remaining there for three weeks, kept out of the # 1 position by the Beatles' "I Feel Fine". Certified a Gold record for sales in the UK of 500,000.

1965
My # 1 :
Petula Clark - You're The One (6th week at # 1)
UK # 1 :
Beatles - Day Tripper / We Can Work It Out
This face sounds familiar. Wonderful Petula Clark got her second Christmas # 1 with "You're The One" (# 23 in UK).
I must recount all my number # 1s, but Petula possibly is the second most successful female solo singer after Madonna in all long history of my retrochart.

Tom Jones - Green, Green Grass Of Home
All I want for Christmas is ... new Petula's single. Third consecutive Christmas # 1 for Petula Clark with "Colour My World" (# 16 in US, # 10 in Australia).

Downtown came out earlier than I Feel Fine and in my chart both reached #1, with I Feel Fine #1 at Christmas.
In January 1966 Petula Clark actually replaced Day Tripper at #1 in my chart with "My Love".
Whilst I haven't yet reached Christmas 1966, one of the favourites is the dad of someone who had a #1 earlier in the year... His daughter also has a song out on that playlist but it is inferior and won't get to #1.

Is it about my # 1 from early 1967 "Sugar Town" or it's another her song from US chart ?

I'm referring to Sugar Town, I have it in December 1966 when it entered the US top 40. But her dad was in the chart with "That's Life". Clearly one of his classic ones..

As I said before, I always try to use a dates of UK releases and do the exclusions only for songs, which weren't singles in UK, but were in any another country (US, Australia, Germany e.t.c).
"Sugar Town" was my # 1 for 4 weeks in January-February of 1967.

1967
My # 1 :
Petula Clark - The Other Man`s Grass (Is Always Greener) (3rd week at # 1)
UK # 1 :
Beatles - Hello, Goodbye
Green grass in the title of song is "very actual" for Christmas # 1. Firstly the previous Christmas chart topper in UK from Tom Jones and now my # 1 from Petula.
No any impotant changes. UK peoples still adore the Beatles and nobody can't win a battle for Christmas # 1 against Petula's single in my chart.
"The Other Man's Grass Is Always Greener" (# 20 in UK) became the fourth consecutive and last Christmas # 1 single for Petula Clark.
All good things comes to end, but obviously it's the eternal record of my chart.

1968
My # 1 :
Judy Collins - Both Sides Now (3rd week at # 1)
UK # 1 :
Scaffold - Lily The Pink
Finally there is a new name at # 1. American singer Judy Collins got the Christmas # 1 with a cover version of "Both Sides, Now" (# 14 in UK).
This single was released in UK in Novemeber 1968, but wasn't represented in chart before 1970.
Lulu's "I'm A Tiger" got # 2 position after one week on the top. She will have a huge gap in #1s after this hit. The follow-up Jeannie C. Riley's single "The Girl Most Likely" wasn't so huge as "Harper Valley P.T.A." and didn't reach # 1, but fills Christmas top 3.
"Son Of A Preacher Man" by Dusty Springfield didn't have a good start, but will climb at # 1 in January.

Pickettywitch was a British pop group, fronted by "don't deserve to be forgotten" Polly Brown.

My # 1 :
New Seekers - I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (1st week at # 1)
UK # 1 :
Benny Hill - Ernie (The Fastest Milkman In The West)
On the Christmas week Cilla's "Something Tells Me (Something Is Gonna Happen Tonight)" after 4 weeks at # 1 was dethroned by British-based pop group New Seekers. They got first Christmas # 1 single with "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing (In Perfect Harmony)".
The song became a hit record in many countries, include United States (# 7) and sold over a million copies in UK.
Hilarious "Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West)" became # 1 in UK, should be in my top 15 of UK Christmas # 1s ranking or even a little higher.

1973
My # 1 :
New Seekers - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me (1st week at # 1)
UK # 1 :
Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody
New Seekers got their second Christmas # 1 with "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me".
Featuring lead vocals by member Lyn Paul (the first time she had sung lead on a single), the song became the group's biggest hit for two years as it remained in the top five over Christmas 1973. "You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me" went on to be the band's second and final number-one single in the UK Singles Chart, spending a single week at the top of the chart in January 1974.
Here is my top 3 on the Christmas week : 1. New Seekers - You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me 2. Lynsey De Paul - Won't Somebody Dance With Me 3. Peters And Lee - By Your Side

Another classic pop song is the perfect choice for my Christmas # 1.
