On Radio 6 Music catch-up here. The Move, ELO, Wizzard...well worth a listen.

I concur, a brilliant listen by an underrated music legend. I still find it sad how his commercial career basically ground to a halt in the mid 1970s, at the same time his former Move bandmate Jeff Lynne's took off with ELO. The drummer from Menswear (Matt Everitt) has turned into a great interviewer.
I just don't understand why this was not a top ten comeback single in 1979:
Radio 6 Music's "Three Wise Women" nights hosted by Laura Marling; Natasha Khan (aka Bats For Lashes); & Annie Nightingale were also hugely interesting. Whilst I enjoyed as ever Noel Gallagher's annual pre Christmas Show; I'm sad that John Lydon is not doing his annual Charlie Brooker meets Alf Garnett 2 hour review/rant of the year as normal as he would have had a lot of material to use from 2016.
Personally, I think it is an example of how Radio 6 Music is head and shoulders above the increasingly awful, clueless Radio 1 which continues to haemorrhage listeners.
Why it is not on FM, whilst the increasingly rubbish, pointless Radio 1 is a waste of the FM band remains a mystery.
Let's not get myself started on the ageist sexist Radio 1 playlist committee, reflected by the fact this week 42 year old male DJ Scott Mills is presenting their breakfast show, and he is older than this week's Radio 2 female DJ breakfast presenter Sara Cox.
No wonder 30 year old Lady Gaga & 32 year old Katy Perry are now deemed too old for Radio 1 listeners; yet they will happily playlist 49 year old David Guetta; the Foo Fighters fronted by 47 year old Dave Grohl; Muse fronted by 38 year old Matt Bellamy; Maroon 5 fronted by 37 year old Adam Levine; & Coldplay fronted by 39 year old Chris Martin.

I've long said 6Music is what Radio 1 should be...
