You seem to have repeated the results from day 1 Panda - today's results were: Cameroon 0-0 Gabon Guinea-Bissau 0-2 Burkina Faso Gabon go out unbeaten. Senegal v Cameroon is incidentally already confirmed, as Senegal are guaranteed to finish top of Group B (head-to-head results counting first).

Hence why I hate using my phone to post on here. I'd be better off with my eyes closed.

Fancied Senegal at the start of the tournament but Ivory Coast going out is a big surprise. Wouldn't rule out any of the teams left in.

Sunday's quarter-finals: Ghana 2-1 DR Congo Egypt 1-0 Morocco
Semi-finals: Egypt 1-1 Burkina Faso (Egypt won 4-3 on penalties) Ghana v Cameroon
Burkina Faso were ahead in the shoot-out until their goalkeeper took their 4th penalty, which was saved. Their 5th was also saved to send Egypt through to their 9th final (they've won 7 of the 8 they've been in so far).

Cracking goal to win it as well, couldn't work out why the Eqyptian gk wasn't diving for the 2 goals, I suppose at his age he might break a bone or two? Germany should walk the Confeds Cup really. So is that later this year?

It's held the summer before the World Cup isn't it? That would mean it's a few months away.

As a side issue, will the 2021 Confed Cup be in Qatar? If so, witll that be in winter as well?

This year's is 17 June to 2 July.
The 2021 tournament won't be in Qatar in order to avoid moving it from its usual date and will be staged somewhere else in Asia instead.
