Bake off favourites Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins will be returning to BBC to host Let’s Sing and Dance for Comic Relief.
They will be joined by a different panel of judges each week made up of Jo Brand, Jason Manford, Paul O’Grady, Frank Skinner, Jennifer Saunders and Claudia Winkleman.
There will be three heats before a live grand finale.
Viewers at home and the judging panel will decide who gets through to the final and the audience will crown the eventual winner of the event, which is in aid of Comic Relief.
The first batch of celebrities has been announced for the show. They are:
Astrologer Russell Grant performing the 1980’s iconic disco hit Chain Reaction by superstar diva Diana Ross. Actress Sally Lindsay will be Noddy Holder singing the rock classic Cum On Feel The Noize by the legendary Slade. Stand-up comedian Sara Pascoe will take on a pop routine from one of the most viewed YouTube videos ever receiving over a billion views, the sensational chart-topping hit Chandelier by Sia. Actresses Harriet Thorpe and Helen Lederer will perform one of ABBA’s greatest ever pop songs Dancing Queen which topped the charts worldwide. Stars of Casualty and Holby City made up of Chizzy Akudolu, Tony Marshall and Amanda Henderson will do a special rendition of the huge hit phenomenon Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars. And there will be a spectacular supergroup performance from The One Show reporters featuring Angellica Bell, Iwan Thomas, Alex Riley, Michelle Ackerley and Dominic Littlewood. Details of their performance will be revealed soon.
Let’s Sing and Dance for Comic Relief will start next month on Saturday nights on BBC One.

That will be fun watching Russell Grant do CHain Reaction.
I loved his dance video for his flop single No Matter What Sign You Are. So camp.

Boys Allowed were robbed, they were far better than that yawn attempt of Uptown Funk. But maybe I'm a sucker for singing drag acts, and it was perhaps too frightening for the GBP how good Gareth Gates looked as Cheryl.
However, this was off the scale funny & unexpectedly good:
The only thing that spoilt it was having Lesley Joseph as the Wicked Witch at the end. I guess Bradley Walsh was busy; but they really should have got Alexander Armstrong from the BBC rival quiz show Pointless instead.
