Just caught up on this, its brilliant, wacky in places particularly towards the end with the dance craze, the casting was just perfect, love the era and the setting, music wise was quite fitting to the era. Bit slow to begin with, as the episode rolled on, it became more interesting to follow, looking forward to see where the series is going. I'm not familiar with the comics though, I might have to get a few to get along with it. On the whole I was hooked from the start to the finish, looking forward to the rest of the series. I truly recommend it.

I watched this last night, agree with you, it was totally weird yet wonderful! Bit slow to start but the Bollywood dance scene was great. Dan Stevens was very good and the girl who plays April in Parks and Recreation was great too but I guess she's had plenty of experience playing that kind of character.
I think it's connected to the X Men and Professor X somehow.

Yes, it is connected to the X-Men film series, not sure if its going to introduce the characters of the X-Men to the series though, as I'm not that familiar with the Legion comics. It does go on to say on the Wikipedia page that Xavier will be appearing at some stage, at the moment there is no plans for the character to appear in the first season, and if they do they will introduce a new actor to play Xavier, but that neither Stewart nor McAvoy would be portraying the character in the series.

Absolutely brilliant, watched it last night, and loved the surreal elements, and flashbacks and stuff, really really recommend it and that comes from someone who doesn't watch a lot of comic stuff apart from Walking Dead. I'm certainly not into X men. And I'd also recommend NOT watching the above trailer, before watching the show as it gives so much away. I was just coming here to start a thread to get people to watch it, only 8 eps as well, just a shame I have to wait a week for the next week, and yes brilliantly acted, the dance scene was sublime, just excellent. I think I've gushed too much now...

More top music from Radiohead last night!
So the buddha blobby man is a parasite in his mind, that keeps changing it's appearance. I did kind of think that it was another mutant more powerful than him, that was working for the baddies rather than for itself.

Wow, just wow, soundtrack is awesome, who was doing the Bowie cover last night? Acting top notch, visuals top notch, I just watch it agog, the scene with Feeling good and the bad thing going through his memories, brilliant! And I take it the references to his dad, refer to X men?

That was one of the best episodes, I'm hoping the series will spawn a CD of all the music that has been used, and I love that version of Oh You Pretty Things.

Yes it's an Easter egg , a very major character in the x men is his father in the comics , from some of his abilities it shouldn't be hard to work out who
