Going to do these ever so often, every week I will play one of these in the house. This is my freshers year and Madchester has really gone mainstream. A great mix of Madchester and dance but some of the old AOR stalwarts still hang on.

From retro years early 90s (1990-1993) is my least favourite period in music.

There are some great songs in there (back in the good old days of variety in the charts!)... That was a real underrated gem by the Railway Children which I still play quite often - it's on the same playlist as 'Life in a Northern town' by the Dream Academy & 'the First picture of you' by the Lotus Eaters.

From retro years early 90s (1990-1993) is my least favourite period in music. I only have charts from 1983-1992, the rest up until 2004 have been lost, I am planning on recreating them best I can as I have done with 1987-1992 alraedy

I wish to recreate the weekly charts from 1999-2003, because it's my favourite period in pop music history. My music taste didn't change very much, mostly want to add the singles from other charts, oldies were heavy based on UK chart.

I started playing these at my home. Unfortunately I got obsessed with them. Probably one of the things that drove Carol made in the last couple of years of our marriage. Still, I think she enjoyed them up to a point, especially when we were playing 80s music.

I found a few more shame my year end for 2001 is gone

Most of my later charts were filled with music I didn't remember, even sometimes as high as #2 peaks. Decent songs, just I didn't remember them, nor would I have immediately been able to name them by hearing them or remember when they were hits.
I think I process far too much music, and that's the problem. I listen to my weekly playlists a few times, then listen to the charts every week, usually twice, and now I have the video playlists too, but still that doesn't implant the songs on me in the same way they used to.

I pretty much concentrate on my top 40/50, many songs on my new releases only get played once and sometimes its only just a snippet. Only the songs that really hook me or are my favourite artists get repeated play now.

Oh we were doing the review of 1989 charts recently so I had Harriet Wheeler of The Sundays as my avatar. Will pick someone else when we do 1990 as I had Debbie Gibson for 1988.
