The return of the thread where we chart who might go up/down each weekend...
Fri 31 Mar - Sun 2 Apr
Championship Rotherham (8 games left, 24 pts from safety) are all-but mathematically down (also having 40 goals to make up), but will be put out of their misery if they fail to beat Fulham (or if a bunch of results go against them)
League Two Doncaster (7 games left, 16 pts ahead) will be promoted if they win at Grimsby, Stevenage lose at home, and Luton v Blackpool is a draw.
National League North Altrincham (6 games, 16 pts back) will go down unless they better Worcester's result, or if they draw and Gainsborough win.
SPL Celtic (9 games, 25 pts) will win the league once again. Tonight, if Aberdeen lose, or on Sunday, if Celtic match or better Aberdeen's result.
Any other things close to being decided? Premier League: with ~10 games left, nothing's close to (mathematically) certain yet... League One: 6-7 games left. Sheffield United are close to promotion (13 pts ahead, 21 pts to play for) and could be up by Wednesday - when they might also relegate Coventry. League Two: 7 games left. Plymouth are only 3 points behind Doncaster, and not far from glory themselves. It looks like 2 from 4 at the bottom. National League: 6 games left. Tight at the top. North Ferriby and Southport go down next weekend. National League South: 6 games left. Margate could go down next weekend. SPL: Aberdeen are close to confirming a Europa League spot of some description. SFL: Nothing close to being decided yet...

Excellent! Oh and it's Altrincham, not Altringham. I'm hoping Donny get promoted soon, and then maybe they'll let us have some points when we play them at their place, help us into the playoffs.

Doncaster, meanwhile, remain 16 points ahead and are now just one win away. Mansfield at home next... Wed 5 AprilLeague OneSheffield United will be promoted if they beat Coventry and Oxford beat Fleetwood. Sheffield United did their bit, but Oxford lost at home, realistically putting an end to their faint play-off hopes. The Blades are one win away from going up, Coventry one defeat from doing down. A weekend preview on Friday. I've got the day off tomorrow!

Sat 8 - Sun 9 April
League One Sheff Utd (13 ahead, 5 games left) will be promoted if they win, or if Fleetwood fail to better their result. Coventry (13 behind, 5 left) will be relegated if they lose. They can also go down if they draw or win and several results go against them. Chesterfield (11 behind, 5 left) will go down if the lose at home to fellow strugglers Port Vale, Gillingham and Oldham win, and Bury avoid defeat.
League Two Doncaster (16 ahead, 6 left) will be promoted if they beat Mansfield, or other results go their way.
National League Southport (10 behind, 5 left) will go down if they lose and Woking and Braintree both win.
National League South Bishop's Stortford (12 behind, 5 left) will go down if they lose and Whitehawk and Truro avoid defeat. Margate (12 behind, 5 left) will go down if they lose and those two teams plus Weston Super Mare (who play Bishop's Stortford) avoid defeat. A draw will also send them down if those three teams win and Welling avoid defeat.
SPL Aberdeen (18 ahead, 7 left) will qualify for the Europa League (first qualifying round) if they better St. Johnstone's result.
Scottish League One Livingston (13 ahead, 5 left) will be promoted if they beat 2nd-placed Alloa.

They can also go down if they draw or win and several results go against them. Chesterfield (11 behind, 5 left) will go down if the lose at home to fellow strugglers Port Vale, Gillingham and Oldham win, and Bury avoid defeat. A year after taking Northampton up at Sixfields, Blades boss Chris Wilder ensured Sheffield United's promotion at Sixfields. They're back in the Championship after six seasons in League One. Coventry and Chesterfield live to fight another week, as both won. Doncaster are promoted back to League One at the first time of asking. Southport conceded a last-minute equaliser. They aren't down yet, but are still ten points adrift. Bishop's Stortford lost 5-0, and Truro got a surprise draw. Only a last minute winner by Hungerford at Whitehawk prevented them from being mathematically down - but they're 12 points and 47 goals adrift... Margate drew, but their situation is almost as dire. Aberdeen lost and St. Johnstone won. They play each other next weekend. Livingston are promoted back to the Scottish Championship. Elsewhere, Bayern Munich became the first team to qualify for the group stage of the 2017-18 Champions League with their win over 4th-placed Borussia Dortmund.

It would have been easier if we'd gone into Friday's game with Coventry already relegated. And they've won 2 in a row now as well as that tinpot cup.
They have to beat us to have any chance of staying up, and then hope we take points off their rivals as we have 4 games left all against close-to-the-bottom teams which may sound easy but often it's harder to play those teams than mid-table ones with nothing to play for, and if we lose they gain points on us.
2 wins out of 4 should see us through however I can't trust us to get those.

In the Northern League, South Shields yesterday guaranteed promotion to Evostik Division 1 though they haven't sealed the league title yet. West Allotment Celtic and Chester-le-Street were relegated to Division 2 yesterday. 3 usually go down but 20th place will probably be reprieved due to South Shields' promotion. In Division 2, Stockton Town and Team Northumbria both clinced promotion yesterday with Billingham Synthonia most likely to join them.

You forgot the most important one. If Huddersfield lose and Brighton win, the mighty Seagulls are promoted (barring a swing in goal difference so large that the police might start an investigation).

Poole Town (currently 5th in Conference South) have bben told they will not be allowed to participate in the play-offs. If that decision is upheld on appeal, Dartford and Chelmsford are already in the play-offs.

I'm looking out for that one but I don't count it as done until it's mathematically done (hence Bishop's Stortford still being on the potentials list despite needing a 40+ goal swing.

Coventry are relegated, and Chesterfield need a 9-point, 17-goal swing over the last 3 games to stay up. A draw apiece means Plymouth will have to wait - but probably only until Monday, when Newport make one of their shorter trips. Leyton Orient were leading at one point, but remain 10 points adrift with time running out. Southport are relegated, with North Ferriby's win only delaying the inevitable after other teams also won. Dartford and Chelmsford both lost, although are play-off bound unless Poole's appeal succeeds. Bishop's Stortford & Margate are relegated after both lost. Aberdeen sealed their Europa League (first round qualifying) spot. I hear that competition's the place to be Hibs are promoted, meaning that Falkirk are in the play-offs, although Dundee Utd & Morton aren't definitely there yet. Alloa's thumping win confirms their play-off spot. There's an almighty scrap behind them, with third from bottom Stranraer still in with a chance!

Wonder when the last time was that Coventry were in the bottom league? 1958-59, the first season of Division Four, was their only season in the fourth tier. They reached Division One for the first time in 1967, and stayed there for 34 years.
