13. Razzle Dazzle (27 points) Pearl Jam – Black
From their debut album 10, I thought I was onto a good thing when the first 3 voters all gave it points but I should have known I was in trouble when Roo gave it 12 points

12. Thorney (35 points ) Smashing Pumpkins – Siva
Smashing Pumpkins first single from their debut album Gish, there was a bit more love for this one but even Thorney said he would only rank his own song in about 6th, the field was too strong for these two songs

Oi! I'm appalled Pearl Jam came last.

11. Whitneyfan (40 points) Bon Jovi – Runaway
Whilst I expected a grunge album track and an Early Smashing Pumpkins song to struggle I’m surprised this didn’t do so well especially for fans of poppier soft rock, it got my 8 points anyway

Either because people think Bon Jovi aren't cool or because it wasn't a single. I gave it some decent points.

10. Smokeyb (41 points) Dr Feelgood – Roxette
No maximum points, it either scored well or got zeros, probably the most marmite track of the round in that regard, no Roo yet? He will be pleased

I just wasn't really into the Bon Jovi song. Wasn't bad at all but was never going to get big points from me with that competition.

As I have said before a few of us thought ROCK and the rest thought rock. Britpop and indie rock is just trumphing grunge and heavy rock thats just the way this turned out.

Either because people think Bon Jovi aren't cool or because it wasn't a single. I gave it some decent points. Yeah, bang on there, as always. I for one only vote for cool stuff.

9. Roo (42 points) Pure Love - Bury My Bones
A much better showing for Roo this round, I enjoyed The Darkness meets The Enemy vibes the song gave me but it just missed my scoring coming in 9th just like it did overall but then I only managed to fit Kasabian on my scorecard that’s how strong this round was so very good showing considering it was most likely the least known song coming into this

Either because people think Bon Jovi aren't cool or because it wasn't a single. I gave it some decent points. I did not give it points, because I think it is rather perfunctory by their standards, and I regard Shot Through The Heart as the stand out track on their self titled debut album.

Guns N Roses is rock. Let's see how that does.
Nirvana was heavy rock and won its round.
Maybe it's not the fact that these are rock but that they're not that popular as songs.
Maybe you can run the next one and only accept what is really rock.

I didn't even know they had a song of that title. Must have confused people later when You Give Love A Bad NAme (from Slippery when wet) started with that line.

8. Big Dan (59 points) Kasabian - Cutt Off Speaking of Kasabian this was Big Dan’s entry, it ended up stuck in 8th place almost the entire time, well above the 5 songs we had previously and considerably behind 7th, oh but it got top points from Andy
