loved shake it off but this is kinda meh, nice verses but the chorus is disappointing and annoying instead of good, maybe it's a grower but on 1st listen the song sounds weird and very un-tayloresque

Her worst song, I'm very disappointed with her new sound. After the first look on album's cover I thought about more urban sound than pop or country. Sadly it's became a true and all my fears were confirmed.

I have to disagree with the other posters so far - this is a great new song from Taylor - loving the new sound!

yes verse promises that chorus would be shining and melodic, but... "Oh look what you made me do" (x10 times)

Apart from Right Said Fred's signature tune, it was clearly (or rather producer/co-writer Jack Antonoff) were "inspired" by "these sick beats" from:

I'm not the barometer of good taste - but I actually really like this!

Sounds a lot like the wrong turn Gwen Stefani made trying to be hip and relevant when she released Hollaback Girl
Mixed with a bit Cher Lloyd and some annoying computerised snare drums

Not a bad song, quite like it. I don't see the similarity between I'm Too Sexy at all.

Nor me. It's certainly not as obvious as Get Sexy.
(Which I love)

I'm surprised no one has posted the video until now, which she dropped the minute Katy Perry started hosting the 2017 VMA's (oh dear at Lorde's disastrous performance).
All told it reminds me of the old Not The Nine O'Clock signature tune "Nice Video, Shame About The Song".
Part of the fun is looking at the various visual set pieces & costumes to look at whom she is having a pop at (Kanye West; Katy Perry; Nicki Minaj; Jay-Z & Beyonce; Lady Gaga; Madonna; as well as her eight ex boyfriends) whom she perceived previously criticized/wronged her in the past.
Little wonder she has the Trump supporting rednecks under her thumb, as she is the only pop star out there who is not seen as a progressive liberal do-gooder supporting Black power & LGBT rights which so many Americans despise. There is not a hint of contrition in this video with echoes Michael Jackson at his paranoia "infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me" best/worst.

Of course we must listen all songs, but based on the first two singles my main association - it's her "Erotica". Madonna did the same many years ago, after four classic pure pop albums she recorded the experimental LP.

After 4 songs it's good contender for the most all-time personal disappointment. The level of Britney's "Blackout".

If there was any doubt about Ms Swift's political beliefs then this legal action surely seals the deal: www.stereogum.com/1970645/aclu-backs-blogger-facing-legal-action-from-taylor-swift-after-post-demanding-she-denounce-white-supremacy/news/Two months ago, Meghan Herning, editor of the website PopFront, wrote an article critical of Taylor Swift and her single “Look What You Made Me Do.” Herning noted that Swift is held up as a pop icon in the white-supremacist world and that many neo-Nazis believe that Swift secretly shares their beliefs. The post made note of “dog whistles to white supremacy in the lyrics of her latest single,” and it ended by calling on Swift to denounce white supremacy: “Taylor’s silence is not innocent, it is calculated. And if that is not true, she needs to state her beliefs out loud for the world — no matter what fan base she might lose, because in America 2017, silence in the face of injustice means support for the oppressor.” Two weeks ago, Herning received a letter from William J. Briggs, II, an attorney representing Swift, demanding that she remove the story and issue a retraction. The letter labels Herning’s blog post as “provably false and defamatory” and threatens a lawsuit. In a new press release, the ACLU of Northern California has taken Herning’s side, writing that Herning’s blog post is “a mix of political speech and critical commentary” and that Swift’s lawyer’s claim is “meritless.” ACLU lawyer Michael Risher writes, “This is a completely unsupported attempt to suppress constitutionally protected speech.”

Sounds like awful current chart music. Zero good songs. Is it really Taylor's album ? I'm ruined.
