That doesn't give me long to vote given it's one round where I'm more likely to need time to listen to the songs.
(Essentially I have to vote tomorrow...)

I could have sworn one of these was a single release in 1996

Well I thought It the 1996 song was a US single but it might have just been a promo

I could have sworn one of these was a single release in 1996 I'm not familiar with some of the less well known acts, but certainly all the heavyweight acts are OK. Using the example of Oasis (whom two mentors have submitted album tracks by), I know they commissioned videos for a number of their non singles (to help push/promote the respective album campaign: Rock N' Roll Star; Morning Glory; Champagne Supernova; Don't Go Away; Where Did It All Go Wrong?; etc but they were never physical singles, even though a handful charted in countries which allowed a radio airplay only element into their national charts... Hence, none of those aforementioned tracks are on their Time Flies 2CD singles compilation. The irony is I nearly submitted a track for this round which would have fallen into this very same scenario:

Well I thought It the 1996 song was a US single but it might have just been a promo I spent hours digging and if it's the Oasis song it was a USA only promo. It didn't chart and it is generally considered an album track but they were that huge they made a video for several album tracks. They are a UK band and it was an album track in the UK so that's good enough for me Champagne Supernova (Promo) EpicESK 7719 US 1996 was the only USA release and it was only a promo that did nothing apart from increase radio play The other Oasis song was a promo in the USA too and Led Zeppelin has physical copies knocking around but was never released as a single. It wasn't the best thought out round tbf, too many grey areas. But I think it's an even field at the top and I'm ignoring promo material

And of course you can all vote how you like so you can leave out a song or dock it accordingly for whatever reason. Uninspiring effort, too obvious, don't like that it was a promo, overplayed, not rock enough, too rock, flaunts the rules like Fear the Reaper etc etc. Whatever lets you sleep at night

I'm away at the weekend so will try to get this in tomorrow if I can.
I have no idea how well I will do in this one: I chose my song on a whim but I'm not sure how well it will stand up in this field.

I am surprised there's nothing from 'Rumours' here.

I could extend the voting till Sunday if I don't get all the votes in but it's the same amount of days as usual just Wednesday to Saturday instead of Thursday to Sunday

Could maybe give a bit more time for this round, I doubt I'm alone in being unfamiliar with over half of these.

Voted on a Friday evening .... which takes me back to the late 1990s & early 2000s when M(TV)2 regularly had an hour on a Friday night playing non single album track videos (& MTV live performances) by alternative rock acts, as it was a pretty common occurrence back then:
