I really enjoyed Cold too, I am going to do a bit more digging now and listen to a few albums on Spotify

I must admit I found that Pink Floyd song a bit of a chore to listen to. I do like some of theirs, but I was just waiting for it to finish.

9. Milliways (59 points) The Distillers - Hall Of Mirrors
Milliways went with Brody Dalle and The Distillers, another personal favourite no doubt, it got 15 points from Shireblogger and I’m sure Milliways will be happy at finishing above some big names here

I'm shocked I finished in the top 8.

Afraid I couldn't get on with that Pink Floyd doorstopper. My dad was a huge fan of theirs so I gave it my best shot but it just went on far, far too long. Some lovely guitar though. And IIRC I did still give it some points.

Yeah it was one I had heard but forgotten about, The Hunger was my favorite song by a long way, I got the Spinnerette album too a few year later which was decent too

8. Thorney (61 points) Nirvana – Polly
If we are talking about “Nevermind” album tracks I prefer Drain You and Lounge Act, both excellent 3 minute pop rock songs with huge crossover appeal, the subject matter of Polly is along the lines of kidnapping and torture so not to everyone’s taste, still a good rock song

I'm surprised it didn't do much better.

7. Greendemon (73 points) Travis - The Humpty Dumpty Love Song
Another personal favourite from Jade. I thought this one might struggle but Andy gave it maximum points and a few other people ranked it in their top 5, enough to claim 7th place overall

"Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is a rock classic from the 1970s from the album "Wish You Were Here". I guess in my generation we all know the song, just like we all know "Stairway To Heaven".
For a new generation I guess a song that is over 10 minutes long is just too much..

I though Travis was Jades, just couldn't give it points this time.

6. Whitneyfan (76 points) Belinda Carlisle - Nobody Owns Me
Well I for one never expected to be giving Belinda big points in a rock contest but me and several others did just that, whilst she is known for her pop songs this song stands alone as sonically a very good rock song, Greendemon and Rubcale gave it both 15 points and it scored my 10 points

Bit of a risk entering Travis but I hoped it would be enough of a contrast from other songs to pick up some points. It did better than I expected!

I liked the Belinda Carlisle one and gave it points too. But then I also gave points to David Bowie, Nirvana and Garbage.

In a round where most of the entries were uninspiring, this one really stood out

Now you know what my song is I will say I expected Champagne Supernova to do a lot better than Rock N Roll Star.
I'm surprised Queen are doing so well. I did consider that song for the last Haven Factor, but I'd already entered an album track from A Night At The Opera, and given how badly it did I didn't try a Queen song for this round...

I'm ecstatic to come sixth, as Belinda is normally associated with doing pop music. A lot of her stuff is very rocky though, and I wanted to showcase that.
