Not as Oasis and Blur dominated as I feared! There is one song here which I really wouldn't have expected to see but am thrilled as it will likely get big points from me

I'm calling it now, this is a battle between The Verve's Bittersweet Symphony & Radiohead's Creep for the win!

Every song is in contention for points from me, but they are all battling for 2nd downwards. 1st place requires milliseconds of thought. I think that particular song could score the most points in the whole Haven Rock Idol competition (i.e. more than A Design For Life in round 3).
But I am getting a little bored of Oasis in this competition. I might feel differently when I get around to voting.

I almost regret giving it my 15 points because it seems so obvious, but that song is a masterpiece.

Having said that: there are 2 artists here that had they chosen a different song might have challenged for my top points.

Voted.
A round of memories for me this one. One was the first song that ever I performed on karaoke, back when I was 16. One was the topic of the very first conversation I had with a girl who has since gone on to become Mrs Hupin. One was a song that one of the bands I was in played, back in the day.

Well that would've been my top 2 places sorted right from the get go if it had been tha case I don't think either of those would have got that many points from me, although Creep is the only Radiohead song I really like. Bittersweet symphony is my least favourite Verve song though, maybe because it was so overplayed. Lucky Man is my favourite.

2 Blur and 2 Oasis songs but not Country House or Roll With It so we can't have a repeat contest between those two..

Having said that: there are 2 artists here that had they chosen a different song might have challenged for my top points. I've already used Sit Down by James in a different round. I don't think anyone's used Wake Up Boo! yet. But those are the 2 obvious ones for me that fit in that category here.

Thats the thing though it is kinda boring if everyone picked obvious ones, and anyway I wouldn't rate 'Wake Up Boo' in my top 10 Boo Radleys songs

Yeah, when I originally picked the songs I tried to go for less obvious ones that others wouldn't go for. Now I'm thinking I should have played it to win.
