13. Roo (20 points) Skunk Anansie - Secretly
First up we have Roo with Skunk Anansie, a great song to be fair, It got me listening to their back catalogue, maybe Weak or Hedonism would've got more votes but probably not a lot compared to the best of Blur, Oasis and Pulp, but the diversity was appreciated

12. Smokeyb (35 points) Suede - She's In Fashion
Maybe a bit more of a shock after Suede won round 7, I have to say it isn't a personal favorite of mine and in a strong field it was always in the pack of 5 songs that got left behind

Hedonism is my favourite track by Skunk Anansie. I probably would have given 'Hedonism' a point or 2

It is fair to say "She's In Fashion" is not in my top 20 Suede songs, hence whilst I thought it would do better, I'm not shocked by its outcome.

11. ManicKangaroo (36 points) Paul Weller - Wild Wood
Just edging out "She's In Fashion" was Paul Weller, I expected this to struggle when I saw the songs it was up against, for me Paul Wellers best days were with The Jam, his solo stuff often underwhelmed but then again I was 9 when this came out so it went totally over my head

Wild Wood has been robbed. This should have done far better.

10. Big Dan (37 points) Blur - Popscene
Not a good sign for the other Blur song in this round? if I recall correctly Raliverpool gave it decent points (10?), a good song no doubt but it hasn't stood the test of time as a Britpop Classic and as we learned with Haven Factor Blur aren't immune to a bad result or two

No, especially not in my hands, given my track record in this contest thus far. Still, top 10, I've gotta be happy with that.

I bought a lot of the Paul Weller singles at that time but I really wouldn't listen to most of them now , o my one I ever play is 'Changing Man '

It's Blur vs Oasis all over again and you are all wrong. I will make it my mission that Oasis go out in round 1 of the Haven Factor they enter

9. Milliways (48 points) The Boo Radleys - Find The Answer Within
A small jump up to 48 points for The Boo Radleys, judging by the chat on the voting thread there are quite a few fans of The Boo Radley but each one has a different favorite song, I guess that's the problem when you don't really have a mega hit, it still attracted enough votes for 9th though which isn't bad going

8. Thorney (80 points) Elastica - Connection
The way the voting came in the top 8 just kept pulling away and Connection was always a lot closer to 3rd than 9th, it never attracted any top points but it was one of my favorites, such a catchy song

7. Whitneyfan (82 points) James – Sometimes
James were one of the first bands I saw live in 2000 when I was 16 so I have always liked them, this was the lowest of their two entries but got maximum points from Raliverpool

Wow this is surprising I am a huge James fan but I ranked 'Waltzing Along' as the lowest song in this round

6. Shireblogger (83 points) James - Waltzing Along
Ok both James songs were received equally well, but "Waltzing Along" edged it by a point, Rubcale gave it her top points and...

5. Greendemon (83 points) Oasis – Morning Glory
In the end nothing could separate Waltzing Along and Morning Glory apart from Morning glory scoring two maximum points from Hupin and Andy but will that be enough for Jade to hold onto 3rd place overall

Still at least it gets played more on Radio 6 Music than their musical albatross "Sit Down".

I'm quite pleased with that result. James are my favourite Indie/Britpop band ever so I had to enter one of theirs. I chose 'Sometimes' as it often gets overlooked and I wanted to remind people of its greatness. She's A Star and Laid were other contenders for my choice.
