1973. The Bees – Chicken Payback www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq7ASMbOpmoAbout as cheesy as they come but I love Chicken Payback, it was released as a single in April 2005 and reached No. 28 in the UK Singles Charts. It was used in a UK television advert for Sure Deodorant For Men during the 2006 World Cup and was subsequently used in adverts for Age UK.

1972. The Hot Melts – Shrink www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rzf7xXIiuc0With 995 views in 6 year I wont be surprised if people don't know these guys, but they released one of the albums of 2009, They are a four-piece from Liverpool that make unreconstructed pop-rock like Weezer and Green Day. Their formula is straightforward: simple melodies and song structures seemingly borrowed from 50s rock‘n’roll acts like Chuck Berry given a grungey guitar overhaul. Shrink breaks this mould slightly with a more ballady feel

1971. Audioslave – Shape Of Things To Come www.youtube.com/watch?v=doqRPNxgZTI"Shape of Things to Come" was prominently featured in Michael Mann's 2006 film, Miami Vice, prior to the release of the album. Revelations was the third and final studio album by American rock supergroup Audioslave. It was released on September 4 but the band's lead vocalist Chris Cornell departed from the band shortly after the album's release in February 2007. They did reunite 10 year later shortly before Cornell took his life earlier this year but sadly this will be the last we hear of Audioslave

1968. Rammstein – Mein Herz Brennt www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXv31OmnKqQImagine Silent Hill the opera meets German industrial metal. The song first appeared as the opening song to the band's third album Mutter in 2001, and was used as the opening track for concerts during that era. In 2011 it appeared on the band's first greatest hits compilation titled Made in Germany 1995–2011, being the only song on the album that at the time of release had not been released as a single or had a music video but a video was made to promote the Best Of release, it does escalate pretty quickly when Till tears out and eats his own heart while the orphanage is engulfed in an inferno but I love the video

1967. Electric Six – Pink Flamingos www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXhiyQ-yT2IThis is from Switzerland which is the title of the third album by Detroit rock band Electric Six. The band commented that: For the first time, none of the songs have the word "dance" or variation of "dance" in the title. But fear not. We have songs with "drugs" and "girls" and "tonight" and "night" and "louder" and "party" in the title, so we haven't given up on our philosophy just yet.

1961. R.E.M. – Wanderlust www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOqKkbu5up0By this time the band were a shadow of there former self but they did have the occasional gem during the 00's and are another act to feature 10 times in my countdown, this is the worst of the 10 from 2004 album Around The Sun, as a hole that album was massively disappointing, maybe there worst?

1957. Red Hot Chili Peppers – Road Trippin' www.youtube.com/watch?v=11GYvfYjyV0One of the later singles from Californication, The song tells of a road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway in which lead singer Anthony Kiedis, guitarist John Frusciante and bassist Flea surfed at Big Sur following Frusciante's return to the band. Drummer Chad Smith did not take the trip with his bandmates due to other commitments and also because he wasn't into surfing
