Cosmic Rough Riders – She's Never Around www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIMZkxwk3ug3 views on YouTube in almost 3 year, and I think 2 of them were me I love this album though, Too Close to See Far is a real hidden treasure, the self-written and self-produced album was released by Measured Records in July 2003. The entire album was play-listed by BBC Radio 2 and on its release and it entered the UK's official independent chart at number 7. Between July 2001 and September 2003 Cosmic Rough Riders had 4 top 40 singles

My Chemical Romance – Helena (So Long & Goodnight) www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCCyoocDxBAI never got into Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, my gf at the time loved that album, she had it on repeat constantly, this was my favorite song from that album though, I'm Not Okay (I Promise), The Ghost of You and Under Pressure with The Used all miss my top 2000 but there will be plenty from The Black Parade which is one of my favorite albums of the 00's

Pearl Jam – Evacuation www.youtube.com/watch?v=sORpwuX0J40Something from the early 00's here, this was from Pearl Jam's May 2000 album Binaural, I think the album tracks on Binaural are much better than the singles, God's Dice, Evacuation, Insignificance and Grievance (which did get released here as a promo) would all have been better singles than Light Years and Nothing As It Seems

Dum Dums - Can't Get You Out of My Thoughts www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_AXbwAh6ycThey were the original 00's power pop band and laid down the blueprint for bands such as Busted and Mcfly, their debut single, "Everything", which just missed my top 2000 was released on 28 February 2000, it reached 21 in the UK Singles Chart. The second single, "Can't Get You Out of My Thoughts" was released on 26 June 2000 and reached number 18 in the UK chart. Their 3rd and 4th single both reached #27 They supported Bon Jovi at Wembley Stadium and also performed at Glastonbury, T in the Park, V2000 and played 22 shows at arenas around the country supporting Robbie Williams but split whilst recording an unreleased 2nd album I can't remember how or why, but this song was always a guilty pleasure so no doubt I joined the Dum Dums page or had this song as my profile song, but there singer Josh Doyle messaged my on Myspace in the mid 00's and we chatted for a while, really nice guy well ahead of the curve in terms of interacting with fans on social media, in the last few years has had a re-emergence as a US-based singer-songwriter and some of his stuff is pretty good, have a listen here www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEFxWXqIZeE
