1864. The Pigeon Detectives – Wait for Me www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4EXvSyPH_EThe band released their debut album, entitled "Wait for Me", in summer 2007 to critical acclaim and it sold well, reaching #3 in the UK album chart. Four singles were released from the album: "I Found Out" was first released in 2006 and re-released a year later; Take Her Back (#20), Romantic Type (#19) and I'm Not Sorry (#12) all charted in the top 20. The whole album was great but its album track Wait for Me that gets the nod here

1861. Puddle Of Mudd – Blurry www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RisBAkC0x8Not a huge fan of them but they had some good songs, this #8 hit from 2001 was one of them I loved but they fizzled out pretty quickly when the post grunge scene never really took off

1859. Paramore – Here We Go Again www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJsqjRxtKhUThe best song from there debut album, I'm sure it was a single but apparently not, Hayley Williams was originally signed to Atlantic Records in 2003 as a solo pop singer. However, Williams resisted the label's solo-career wishes, saying she did not envision herself as "the next Madonna". As a result, she formed Paramore with Josh Farro, Zac Farro, and Jeremy Davis. In her short solo career, Williams recorded some demos, which were later re-recorded with the band for a "more authentic" sound. However, the band was almost fired because the label thought they "were terrible." Williams and Farro wrote two new songs, "Here We Go Again" and "Hallelujah", which saved the group from being fired. The former song became the fifth track on debut album All We Know Is Falling, while "Hallelujah" was saved for their sophomore album Riot!

1852. The Black Keys – Your Touch www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKXlgISd3iA"Your Touch" was the first single from The Black Keys' fourth album, Magic Potion. It's a fantastic song that has since been used in 2009 film Zombieland, episode 1 of Eastbound and Down, in a trailer for Battleship, and runs during the opening scenes of the "Manic Monday" episode of the HBO series Entourage but at the time the band weren't cool and it didn't chart anywhere

Oasis - Songbird www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KJgBkreAuwSongbird was the fourth single to be released from Heathen Chemistry and peaked at #3 in the uk chart, I cant think of many songs they released after 2003 that were better than this one, The Importance of Being Idle yeah, Lyla yeah, apart from that this was as good as they released at the tail end of their career

OK, back on this, I paused my countdown around November last year to concentrate on compiling my end of year top 400, 90s retro chart and current chart THEN I hosted Haven Factor and this was well and truly put on the backburner but now I have some free time I can get this going again
