This topic was inspired by bad new album from Taylor Swift. You've already bought it and listened to it, have you ? Or are you just trolling to upset any Taylor Swift fans here ?

Strip by Adam Ant. One magnificent track, one OK, and the rest was the sad output of someone who was suffering from undiagnosed mental illness.

Manic Street Preachers - Rewind The Film
Show Me The Wonder is the only song on it I like - I know that Know Your Enemy and Lifeblood are generally considered their worst albums but they have more going for them than this one to my ears.

Be Here Now by Oasis constitutes the biggest ever drop in quality from one album to the next that I can think of

Be Here Now by Oasis constitutes the biggest ever drop in quality from one album to the next that I can think of It was definitely a drop in quality, even though I do quite like 'Be Here Now'. 2 of the biggest disappointments ever for me were the second albums by Terence Trent D'Arby & Alanis Morissette, as their debuts are amongst my favourite albums ever and I remember looking forward so much to both follow-ups, only to play them and thinking "What the hell is this?"

I guess that's more about you being not into it or it not living up to the hype for you. It can hardly be called disappointing when Primal Scream had a very low bar at that time 'Sonic Flower Groove' was alright but 'Primal Scream' was awful. I think 99% of people who have heard 'Screamadelica' think its at least very well done.

screamadelica is amazing, maybe you didn't like it cos it was a bit of change of direction but I'd say for many it's considered a classic, it is a classic for me
was thinking now that the 2nd Stone Roses album was a bit of a fiasco too

Maximo Park - Quicken the Heart (2009) After their great debut and solid follow up album came this
Radiohead - Amnesiac (2001) After The Bends and OK Computer, 2 of the best albums ever came this
Boy Kill Boy - Stars and the Sea (2008) After their debut album Civilian was hit after hit of electro pop goodness they came up with this shocker and split almost straight away

Just nowhere near as good as their previous material: Lady Gaga - 'Artpop' The Strokes - 'First Impressions of Earth' (Already mentioned): Alanis Morissette - 'Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie'
Disappointing change of direction The Offspring - 'Americana' Idlewild - 'The Remote Part' The Divine Comedy - 'Regeneration'
The last one is my personal choice for biggest musical disappointment ever

I love ‘Remote Part’ but considering they lost a founder member for going to REM/folk rock a lot of people felt the same as you.

Definitely the Stone Roses' "Second Coming". So very, very, very much not worth the long wait.
Depeche Mode's "Ultra" and "Exciter" I both found underwhelming at the time. To some extent they've both grown on me since, but not by much. Of their more recent albums, "Delta Machine" still feels something of a let-down.
Billy Bragg's "William Bloke" was an immense drop in quality compared with at least three of his previous albums.

Not a bad album by any means, but I was in love with the first album and was expecting more of the same:

I don't know if this will be a popular opinion but, other than a couple of tracks I really don't get the appeal and I did actually quite like the first album. I haven't bothered with the new one at all.
