14/04/2018 Bebe Rexha - Ferrari
Having got up this morning to try and cheer myself after the act of idiocy in Syria by watching the Chinese GP Qualifying to see Mercedes struggle (I am & always have been a ABF F1 fan), seeing a Prancing Horse Tifosi 1-2 with "Mr Pointy Finger" claim his second consecutive poll start ... then I just have to make this track released yesterday by the New York pop singer/songwriter my track of the day.

17/04/2018 King Princess - Talia
The first act to ink a deal with Zelig Records, the label founded by Mark Ronson follows up her debut "1950" track (which Harry Styles & The xx were fans of) with the second release by the Brooklyn based singer/songwriter, which is equally as good.

18/04/2018 Courtney Marie Andrews - Kindness of Strangers
The indie folk/country singer-songwriter originally from Phoenix, Arizona released her 6th Americana album May Your Kindness Remain on March 23rd, from which this is taken. This is very much in the vein of Emmylou Harris meets Lucinda Williams.

Hooray. The Swedish indie pop queen returns with two new tracks today. I've gone for this wonderful Sia meets Robyn trap beat synth track. Her 4th album So Sad, So Sexy is out June 8th.

21/04/2018 Prince - Nothing Compares 2 U
Today is the 11th annual Record Store today. So a purchase of one of the 6000 limited edition vinyl version of this release, (which was then recorded by The Family in 1985 (produced by Prince), and covered in 1990 by Sinead O'Connor) of the original 1984 demo, which was released to streaming services & radio yesterday.

22/04/2018 Ghost - Rats
Perhaps as my TOTD's have been a little too much pop & female diva heavy lately .... then how's about some Swedish metal?! This brilliant, yet oddly disturbing video (Imagine Lady Gaga directing a Slipknot meets Steps collaboration and you are getting close) is the lead single taken from the group's 4th studio album Prequelle.

23/04/2018 Janelle Monáe - I Like That
The Kansas born artist imminent album and “emotion picture” Dirty Computer is premiering Thursday night in short-film form on MTV and BET before its official Friday's (27th April) release, but first we get one more standalone video for its latest single ... which is far too good to ignore.

The synth-pop trio from Glasgow return with their third album Love Is Dead out 28th May. In truth this is the first of the four "singles" taken from it which I've really liked.

28/04/2018 Kanye West ft T.I. - Ye Vs. The People
This is either a prime example of an artist losing the plot; or a quite brilliant piece of playing Devil's Advocate (trolling) whilst having a pop at the "Libtards".
