Totally don't remember that at all and it is pretty bad, that was actually a hit?, I must have dismissed it pretty early on and wiped it from my memory. Also Wikipedia calls it Brit Pop, I didn't even want any European or US songs in a Brit Pop style in this thread especially bad ones.

Lemon tree was huge in europe, a silly song and pretty bad too, best forgotten, 100% unrelated to britpop

^ That rancid Fool's Garden track which I made the mistake of playing is bad enough, but to think the title of the song is taken from a brilliant group whom all five members took turns at lead vocals released one album (Open Book) before splitting up due to lack of success. A Pop Injustice if ever there was one.
Thankfully, all five members of this group have since found success as session musicians, songwriters, engineers, & producers for numerous acts including:
Oasis, Robbie Williams, Sheryl Crow, the Finn Brothers, Nick Harper, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Liam Gallagher, The Waterboys, Tom Jones, Echo & the Bunnymen, Eurythmics, Joe Cocker, the Black Crowes, Adam F, Andrea Bocelli, Patricia Kaas, Susanna Hoffs, Melanie C, Mike Scott, Aztec Camera, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Elkie Brooks, Nerina Pallot, Sia (Furler), Zero 7, Malcolm McLaren, 10cc, Steve Hackett, Steven Wilson, Caro Emerald, Rufus Wainwright, Katy B, Miles Kane, Mark Ronson, John Newman, Kylie Minogue, Cathy Dennis, All Saints, Example, The Wanted, James Blunt, Katie Melua, Paloma Faith, Tina Turner, Anastacia, Texas, Will Young, Beverly Knight, to name a few....
I saw them support Crowded House, and they were brilliant:

Anyway, here is a 1997 track I missed from Friday night:
The Dandy Warhols - Not If You Were The Last Junkie On Earth

Ok, some US pop from that era. This originally came out in 1994. All the Americans were making it #1 in their personal charts. Then it finally reached #30 in the UK chart in 1995.

And of course there was this band, still around, this one from 1994.

How about a fine bit of Russian rock from 1994 then?
Chizh & Company (Chizh i Kompaniya) - "Perekryostok" (Crossroads).
The song is a man complaining about his lover having left him. It's early in the morning, some of her hair is left on their bed, as is an empty packet of L&M Cigarettes. A half-finished bottle of beer and so on. He concludes "When love leaves, there begins blues"

And in fact if we're going to go there, let's go all the way - a big name act of Russky Rok, Akvarium, featuring "BG" (Boris Grebenshchikov). From the album "Navigator" also from 1995. He can even pull in big audiences in the UK - I saw him in the Royal Albert Hall a few years ago. Mostly Russians or Russian-speakers, true. A friend came down from the Isle of Arran by boat, and coach just to see the gig, before getting the night coach straight back to Glasgow. And it was quite some show, a real spectacle...
Akvarium - Garçon No. 2 (dva)

Much better choices there Neil, I almost featured 'I Alone' by Live and Crash Test Dummies.
BTW you do know how this thread usually works, I am playing an hour of music in real time and posting the videos as I go, usually try to avoid super obvious songs eg that's why no 'Buddy Holly' or 'Basket Case' for example, this one has taken on a life of it sown.
