It's that time of year already, as Brechin City were relegated from the Scottish Championship last weekend. They haven't won all season, with only 4 points to their name.
The next outcome to be confirmed will probably be league titles for Man City and Celtic, but neither is possible this weekend. Wolves are 12 points (i.e. 2 ideal gameweeks) from promotion - they could theoretically be promoted on April 3rd.

Berwick win, don't make me laugh, I cant remember their last victory!
Oh and in other news, If Knaresborough Town beat Eccleshill United on Saturday (if it goes ahead) then they will be promoted as Champions of the Northern Counties Easter League Division 1, and move to the highest step in the pyramid they've ever been. Had a few crowds over 200 recently, so be great to see 250+ sadly Harrogate are away at York, so feel a few floaters will do that game instead. I still remember when Knaresborough got promoted from the West Yorkshire League at Pool in Wharfedale, quite a day.

Marske going for promotion to the Northern Premier (Evostik) League. A top 2 finish should be enough (The 12 best runners-up from the 14 step 5 leagues will be promoted) though we'd love to win the league again. Just the small matter of playing 15 games in 31 days and overcoming a 15-point gap between ourselves and the leaders Morpeth Town, who have played 9 games more.

I say you had rather a lot of games coming up...I think they've extended the season though haven't they to try and ease the pressure, not sure how that affects the playoffs though as our div 1 has playoffs, but I know games are going on into May. Good luck to Marske, hope you get there, is your pitch sorted now?

Good luck to Marske, hope you get there, is your pitch sorted now? The FA has extended the season. By 2 days. Which helps absolutely no-one. I don't think playoffs are affected by any deadline as they're intra-league. The pitch still isn't great and we had a game called off on Thursday but every midweek game in the league was called off, as well as all but 4 last Saturday. We did manage to play our first home league game for 3 months last week and with the temperatures slowly rising, we'll hopefully get our games finished without having to find alternative venues like we've had to do a few times this season.

7 April: Premier League: Man City's title will be confirmed if they beat Man United at home. National League: Chester will be relegated if they lose and either Barrow or Solihull win. Scottish League Two: Cowdenbeath will face a relegation play-off if they lose and Edinburgh and Berwick both win. A stunning comeback has delayed City's coronation for a week or two. Livingston won to delay St Mirren's party, although they now only need a point. Meanwhile, Stranraer won at Alloa to tighten the play-off race, and Cowdenbeath also closed the gap, as they won and Edinburgh and Berwick both lost. Chester, however, are relegated, thanks to their defeat at home to Tranmere, and Solihull's late winner against Hartlepool.

Scottish Championship: St Mirren will be promoted if they avoid defeat. If that happens, Livingston's play-off place will be confirmed if Greenock Morton don't win.
Wednesday 11 April

League One: Bury can be relegated without playing, if Rochdale (v Wigan, Tue) and Oldham (v Walsall) both win.

Berwick win, don't make me laugh, I cant remember their last victory! At least it's not Brechin True, but they have the joy of a promotion before this. Berwick last won on 27th January! beating Cowdenbeath 3-1, since then they have drawn 5 and lost 6, and if the Blue Brazil keep winning, we are in the playoff I'd expect! Huge game on the 21st as we play Cowden again! Our only saving grace is Edinburgh City are in even worse form than us! And Knaresborough got a draw to be promoted, denied the title by a very late dodgy pen for a shirt pull, think they play tomorrow so can win the league then.

Guiseley's match was postponed - while they aren't down yet, they are 15 points adrift of safety with six games left, and must play three games in five days next week. St Mirren lost, so must wait until at least the weekend, as must Wolves, after Fulham won last night. Bury got a stay of execution as Rochdale unsurprisingly lost against Wigan.

Saturday 14 April
Championship: Wolves will be promoted on Saturday if Fulham fail to win, or on Sunday if they either win, or better Cardiff's result. Burton will be relegated if they lose and Bolton and Birmingham both win.
League One: Bury will be relegated unless they win and Oldham lose.
League Two: Accrington Stanley (who are they?) will be promoted if they beat fourth-placed Exeter.
National League: Macclesfield will be promoted if they better Tranmere's result. Guiseley will go down if their result is worse than Woking's, or if they don't win and Barrow do.
Scottish Championship: St Mirren will be promoted if they avoid defeat at home to Livingston. Dumbarton will face a relegation play-off if they don't win and Falkirk do.
Scottish League One: Ayr will be promoted if they win and Raith don't (the latter would go into the play-offs). Arbroath and Alloa will confirm play-off places if they better Stranraer's result.
Scottish League Two: Stirling will be in the play-offs if they win, or if they draw and Elgin don't win. Cowdenbeath will be in a relegation play-off unless they better the result of either Berwick and Edinburgh.
Sunday 15 April
Premier League: Man City will be given the title if they win (at Spurs, Sat) and Man Utd lose (v West Brom). If Crystal Palace, Huddersfield and Swansea all win on Saturday, then West Brom will go down if they lose.

National League: Macclesfield will be promoted if they better Tranmere's result. All morning, I've been toying with the idea of nipping over to the other side of the Peak District to watch Macclesfield play Leyton Orient. But I've prevaricated for too long - it's a 12:30 kick-off and there'll be long queues at the ticket office. I'm pleased for them though. When they got themselves relegated a few years ago, after a stupid late season managerial change that wasn't necessary, I feared for Macclesfield's future. Shame that they'll be replacing another local club (Chesterfield), although I know of at least one football fan here who will be delighted with the scenario.

If Crystal Palace, Huddersfield and Swansea all win on Saturday, then West Brom will go down if they lose. Wolves return to the Premier League, after Fulham conceded a last-minute equaliser at home to Brentford. Burton's win gives them a stay of execution. Bury, however, are down after a home defeat. Accrington Stanley will likely swap places with them, but only drew yesterday, so they still need another two points. Macclesfield are still waiting to confirm promotion - they're 10 points clear of Tranmere, who have two games in hand and four left. Guiseley are 15 points and 19 goals adrift of Woking with five games left, and could go down on Tuesday. St Mirren are promoted to the SPL after a 0-0 draw against nearest rivals Livingston. Falkirk's defeat means that Dumbarton aren't consigned to the relegation play-offs just yet. Ayr lost and Raith won, so the gap at the top of Scottish League One is just two points with two games left. Arbroath and Alloa aren't quite in the play-offs yet, but would need a significant goal difference swing to let Stranraer in. Meanwhile in League Two, Stirling lost and remain one point away from a play-off place, but Cowdenbeath will have a relegation play-off against either Spartans or Cove Rangers.

Yeah I’d have thought they’ll be a big crowd at Macclesfield today Yeah, there was 3000. Nice to see Macc back, as it's a ground I've done. Got to be better than having Sutton United in the league, or Boreham Wood, although both could be successful in the playoffs, but I hope not, be good to get Tranmere back. Chesterfield have been mismanaged for years, so no surprise to see them falling down the leagues, happened to Stockport and Leyton Orient. I've heard they're big in debt, so could be in real sh*t, if the Conference get wind of that. So where's the money gone from the recent sales of players?

Berwick were saved by Cowdenbeath being worse than them. Bad leg break in the Berwick game yesterday, where an ambulance didn't get to the player for 30 minutes!

Had Exeter lost, Luton would also have been promoted last night, but they didn't, so they have to wait a bit longer. Accrington are however now promoted.
