I shall check if bbc2 are doing highlights, but I doubt it. And I didn't get a wallchart as only the Sun had one, the Mirror didn't, maybe it was in their sunday edition?

Whilst waiting for the World Cup to start, you might like to try BBC's World Cup 2018 personality quiz: Which country should you really support? www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44201661Unsurprisingly for me, I came out as a Germany supporter

Panama for me. Goodness knows what answers I gave for the programme to come up with that answer. Funnily enough, Panama is on our shortlist for next year's holiday.

I got Argentina.
Wouldn’t mind seeing Messi win it.

From what I could see there are highlights every evening, either on BBC or ITV - if BBC has the evening match, then highlights will be on ITV, and vice versa. Thursday: BBC2, 23:15-23:45 Friday: ITV1: 20:45-23:45 Saturday: BBC1, 22:30-23:30 Sunday: BBC1, 22:30-23:20

I shall be setting some of those to record then, save me watching entire games. Cheers. Me and Sam have bought World Cup tops, Sam got Croatia and I got me Mexico!

Cheers, is that the independent? Our local paper has one in, and a work colleague may have got o e in the Observer this weekend, so I could end up with two, one for work and one at home, bet that will go down well.

It used to be the condensed edition of the Independent (a sort of mini-indie) but has been a separate paper since the Independent went online-only.

Haven't looked beyond the first game but BBC2 have highlights at 11.15pm tomorrow. Oops - should have continued reading, frag gave a better answer than me! Must admit, still feeling a bit meh about the World Cup, though that's not generally the case for England actually even if I am nervous for our first game. Haven't set any real targets but like what Southgate is doing with the team, and the way he comes across. Plus I think there's a real team spirit in the squad as well. Tunisia aside, which I think will be tricky, just going to enjoy each game and see what happens.

Sometimes the first game can make me decide if I'm going to get into it, you worry with that first game being Russia v Saudi Arabia!

Russia have to go for it, early goal for them will hopefully open the game up, if only that might happen...

Instead of a traditional sweepstake, our office did a version where everyone gets one random team from each pot, plus a team of your choice, and then you get points for wins and draws your teams get.
I got Argentina, Switzerland, Senegal, Saudi Arabia and Brazil (my choice pick).

Would I be right in saying that this is the first time Saudi Arabia have faced a team ranked below them in a World Cup match?

Group A: | | | Gazinskiy 12 | 1-0 | | Cheryshev 43 | 2-0 | | Dzyuba 71 | 3-0 | | Cheryshev 90+1 | 4-0 | | Golovin 90+4 | 5-0 | |
A comfortable and morale-boosting win for the hosts, albeit against possibly the weakest team in the tournament.
