Just going through my old singles and writing them up to pass the list along and sell them on, also listening to them on Youtube at the same time. And found a few singles by The Heart Throbs, they were SO good, no idea why they weren't successful, dont think any of the singles were hits, nor the albums? The Youtube views are pitifully low as well! I thought TheThorne would be a fan? Dreamtime Hooligan She's in a trance

Yes I have a few singles 'Hooligan' and 12" version of "She's In A Trance' maybe others. They were the best though

One of a few bands from Reading at the time. I loved the name, it sounds like a Lichtenstein painting or a Chekhov play, you can read it as a noun or a verb phrase. Two of them were sisters of Pete deFreitas of Echo & The Bunnymen.

I shall add the list of the singles when I've typed a box up, for everyone to have a look at, and laugh at Dead or Alive to The Godfathers, or Howard Jones to the Jesus and Mary Chain.

Oh yes, they were great. I had a couple of their 12"s - "Dreamtime", and also - probably their anthem - "I Wonder Why".

I've got a few of their singles. They have a special place in my memory as I went to see them at the Borderline off Charing Cross Road one day in March 1992. The main reason I chose that gig over one in Kentish Town on the same night was that I had heard good things about the support band - a new band, yet to release their first single, called Suede.
I had further reason to think about that gig today as it has been announced that the Borderline is to close in the summer. Another lovely venue bites the dust.

They never had the big hit they deserved.
I wonder why.

They never had the big hit they deserved. I wonder why. That's the rather glorious song I knew when I went to see them

I know, but I wanted an excuse to post the song.
