Slough through to the 1st round for the 2nd season in a row. Their 1st goal was a lob from inside their own half so I hope the BBC show that on their 1st round draw show on Monday. Hopefully Maidenhead will win their replay...

Have the Met Police ever made the first round before? They should play tax dodgers Chesterfield!

Have the Met Police ever made the first round before? They should play tax dodgers Chesterfield! According to FCHD, they have a few times, most recently in 2012. I think Haringey Borough are 1st round debutants.

Draw was a bit of a mess with Mark Chapman reading out the wrong team on two separate occasions...

6 all-non-league ties if I've counted correctly.

Draw was a bit of a mess with Mark Chapman reading out the wrong team on two separate occasions... Yes, and he didn't seem to acknowledge the 2nd time, just corrected himself hoping no one noticed.
A lot of interesting ties for me. Good draws for both Maidstone and Ebbsfleet, especially Maidstone. Great one for Bromley, which must be in contention for TV coverage. Not sure about Fleetwood, Newport or Dover's draws, Slough's definitely not good, away and it isn't even a league team.
Potentially a great draw for Maidenhead - that's another that's got to be in contention to be selected for TV? Good draw for Gillingham (though i'd have preferred them to get Maidenhead or Slough which would have tempted me to go).
And a tie between two Haven posters - Mansfield v Charlton!

Cracking draw for us, I've never seen Charlton play, so will go to that game and tick off my 85th team! I noticed the mistakes as well, odd one was I took my list off the FA website who had Witton as ball number 60, yet he read out Solihull Moors, so pretty poor whomever got it wrong! The way he was wittering on about Haringey and Wimbledon means that's a shoe it for the telly?

Yeah, that's a nice draw for Maidenhead - I'll try to make it along if they get through the replay. Ties are on the weekend of November 10th.

5 replays tonight including Maidenhead, assume they'll announce what is on the telly and when after the replays?

A win for Maidenhead but a struggle judging by the updates. Fortunate to avoid extra-time and that was despite being against 10 men for most of the 2nd half.
That tie against Portsmouth must be their biggest 1st round match, certainly of the ones they've played in the last decade. They played Port Vale in 2015 when they were L1, but Portsmouth are a bigger club, and that tie was a midweek replay. Being a weekend tie this one I imagine will generate more interest. Reading are at home on the 10th so it would help the club if its played on a different day. Actually it would probably help Reading too...

That Maidenhead v Portsmouth will either be moved to the Friday, or later on Saturday, maybe sunday afternoon, unless they're still doing that daft round up of 8 games, rather than feature on just one? Haringy v Wimbledon will be on the tv as well. Not sure how many they show, BT have some as well don't they?
