I'm hoping they are still doing that Sun roundup thing, like it as it gives better coverage of those non televised games.
I think it's 3 TV games with I think 2 on BT.

Judging by what they said in the commentary for the 4QR game, they are still doing the multi-game thing.

Sam just found on Twitter that Stags v Charlton is kicking off on sunday at 12.45 for the tv overseas market? No idea what that is, but it's blooming annoying!

Sunday is good, 12:45 is bad as it clashes with when I see my son. And Mansfield is rather too far for me to travel, plus I probably wouldn't get a ticket anyway, I guess we don't have a large allocation.
The problem with the FA Cup is you never know if your manager is going to take it seriously enough. Last season we lost in round 2 against AFC Wimbledon and then they got draw away to Spurs at Wembley and whilst we may have gone into the draw with a different number to what they did, it did feel like something we'd seriously missed out on. They got easily turned over, and so would we, but it would have been a great draw.

The featured overseas games in the Championship are usually the ones that are streamed on a Saturday at 3pm, not heard of a game being moved because of it though.
Shame the Maidenhead game is on the Saturday, though with that kick off time if Reading fans wanted to see our game as well it would be tight but do able. Will try to watch it somewhere.

You'd have had the same number. The numbers for teams that played in the previous round are based on the order in which they were drawn.

I'm expecting them to lose, which given their league position may be a blessing in a way... I was away for their two league games that were televised Aug last year and this Aug (which was a shame as they won them both) so glad I'm going to be able to see it as I could have been going to the Reading game, which presumably would have meant missing at least half of it.

Yeah, they're on an awful run, six defeats in a row in the league and only scraped past Chippenham by all accounts. Their last three games were a 6-0 defeat, and then a 7-0 defeat after their 'keeper was sent off and a centre back had to spend most of the game in loan, and then a 2-0 defeat by bottom club Dover, who had something like 8 points before that. They've sold a number of their better players recently - Sam Barratt and Harry Pritchard are in the football league now, as was Dave Tarpey, but he got a really bad injury a month after joining Barnet, who then got relegated to the National League.

Pritchard has scored a few goals for Blackpool, but not sure how often Barratt has been playing for Southend. Max Kilman also left to join Wolves, but as it seems it was to join their U23s I'm not sure how much of a step up that is unless he gets some minutes in one of the cups at some point. Have wondered recently how much they've missed the first two, Ryan Bird doesn't seem to have scored many since he arrived from Dover in the summer.

Maidenhead have gone right off the boil lately. I'm hoping it's with this game in mind. I'm expecting them to lose, which given their league position may be a blessing in a way... and then a 2-0 defeat by bottom club Dover, who had something like 8 points before that. Just to add about Dover, they sacked Chris Kinnear about a month ago and replaced him with Andy Hessenthaler returning for a second spell as manager. They are now full-time and having seen an interview with Hessenthaler I suspect the two are linked, I doubt he would have come back if they were still part-time. Up until last weekend the change hadn't seemed to have made much difference though.
Hessenthaler is their 2nd best manager (that i'm aware of, Kinnear is the best), took them from step 4 to step 2 back to back, where having seen some video highlights a while ago they were unlucky to lose in the playoff semis to Woking in 2010. Those two promotions were done convincingly, I think the Ryman Prem title was done with a similar points total to Reading's 106 in less games He then left to become Gillingham manager that summer 2010. He does like working with players he knows, remember going to one of his Dover games and was surprised just how many ex Gillingham players he had that I knew. At least 1 of the Dover players he had he then took to Gillingham, (something I noticed when watching those playoff highlights) so I guess he'll try to get ex Gillingham players to come to Dover again, think there's at least 1 there already.

Damn, I was looking out for him early on, had a feeling he wouldn't be in the main stand, but thought he probably wouldn't be in a visible position so stopped paying attention. Only half watched the game for most of the 2nd half, no surprise at all with the 4-0 defeat, but saw enough, especially 1st half, that they can stay up this season. Crowd of over 3000 as well, not sure if they've ever had more than that? Good to see Mr Pompey too, someone I've met, he'd have enjoyed seeing them win at a new ground (am assuming he's not been to York Rd before). Actually just seen your follow up post, didn't miss him after all!

It was also good to see former Reading youngster Nana Owusu come on yesterday. I was surprised when they mentioned his appearance stats, he always seems to be a sub when I've read about their games! Because of injuries he played at left back for the youth cup team that reached the semis back in 2014. I thought he'd go on to be a left-back in his career so it's interesting that he plays as a winger for Maidenhead, he was an attacking full back for the youth team and he showed his pace at times yesterday.
Looking at other results of interest yesterday, Maidstone through as I thought and a replay for Ebbsfleet though I thought they'd probably win as well, still got another chance though. Bromley may have gone out 3-1 at home to Peterborough but really impressed they made it so close when they played with 10 men for half the game after another former Reading youngster Frankie Raymond was sent off. Shocked that Gillingham couldn't beat Hartlepool, they could be on the end of another cup giantkilling in the replay. Good that Slough got a replay against Sutton and unlike the others they'll be at home.
