I know a few people here dip in and out of the NFL so I thought I'd start a thread for it this season.
The season got underway last night with the now-traditional Thursday night kickoff game featuring the Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles against the Atlanta Falcons. It was a pretty awful game to be honest and I gave up at half-time and went to bed but two touchdowns from British running back Jay Ajayi helped the Eagles to an 18-12 win.
The Eagles are among the favourites once again along with always there-or-thereabouts New England Patriots.
Super Bowl odds: 7/1 New England Patriots 10/1 Pittsburgh Steelers 11/1 Philadelphia Eagles 11/1 Los Angeles Rams 12/1 Minnesota Vikings 14/1 New Orleans Saints 16/1 Green Bay Packers 20/1 Jacksonville Jaguars 20/1 Los Angeles Chargers 22/1 Atlanta Falcons 25/1 Houston Texans 33/1 Dallas Cowboys 40/1 Kansas City Chiefs 40/1 San Francisco 49ers 40/1 Carolina Panthers 40/1 Baltimore Ravens 40/1 Denver Broncos 50/1 New York Giants 50/1 Seattle Seahawks 50/1 Tennessee Titans 66/1 Washington Redskins 66/1 Chicago Bears 66/1 Oakland Raiders 80/1 Detroit Lions 80/1 Indianapolis Colts 100/1 Cincinnati Bengals 100/1 Cleveland Browns 150/1 Miami Dolphins 150/1 Arizona Cardinals 150/1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers 250/1 New York Jets 300/1 Buffalo Bills

Also worth mentioning that this could be the Raiders' last season in Oakland. They're due to move to a brand new stadium in Las Vegas in 2020. However, if fan support dwindles dramatically this year (something that has happened in the past with some teams that were due to relocate) they could move to a temporary home in Vegas next year.
