374 Pearl Jam - Vs
The second album from Pearl jam and its just brilliant, way to low again sorry. I probably preferred Pearl Jam to Nirvana at the time, just me being contrary. This album was just a bit heavier than 'Ten' and has many of their best song on it. It was a Us number one and UK number 2. It has sold over 7 million worldwide.

372 Seahorses - Do It Yourself
John Squires post Stone Roses band who again where very much a band for the time, the is no real need for Seahorses in 2018. It did have plenty good tunes though. It reached #2 in the Uk and sold over 300000.

371 Green Day - Insomniac
Green Days's 4th album which had the impossible task of following 'Dookie'. It didn't have as many big tunes as 'Dookie' of course but it was still a good album if a bit samey. It reached #2 in the Us and #8 in the UK

370 Ian Brown – Unfinished Monkey Business
Just a little higher than Seahorses but a much better record, I don't care that he cant sing, its the atmosphere on these tracks. 'Golden Greats' just missed the list. This album reached #4 in the UK and was certified gold.

Tonights bonus album is from a band who owed a huge debt to Madchester The Mondays,Primal Scream and Flowered Up especially but were about 10 years late,
369 Campag Velocet – Bon Chic Bon Genre
Then Kasabian came along and did it all better, it was maybe a bit to DIY but it has so many great songs like 'Vito Satan' and 'To Lose La Trek' and the featured song 'Sauntry Sly Chic'. The NME hype did not help though and they only ever had one minor hit.

368 Blue Aeroplanes - Beatsongs
Often referred to as the Bristol REM, this is one of two entries for them on the list. This was their 2nd album on a major label and their biggest hit reaching #33 in the UK and spawning two minor hits 'Yr Own World' and their cover of 'Boy In The Bubble'.

367 Catatonia - Way Beyond Blue
First of three entries for the major Brit Pop stars, this was their debut album and I was an instant fan. My favourite track has a poor quality video but there are so many good ones to choose anyway. The other advantage is these tracks are all a lot fresher sounding than their future big hits. The song I am featuring could almost be a new song from Black Honey. The album reached #32 in the UK.

366 Bentley Rhythm Ace – Bentley Rhythm Ace
I was a huge fan of Big Beat at the time and you will see quite a few albums from that genre on this list. Consisting of ex members of PWEI and EMF they were pretty much leaders of the sound which mostly came from the label Skint records. The album reached a very respectable #13 in the UK.

365 The Folk Implosion – One Part Lullaby
A side project from Lou Barlow of Sebadoh which I discovered through the brilliant 'Natural One' single from the Kids OST. This was their major label debut and for me its a bit of a classic of alt rock but it never got the success it deserved.

364 Morcheeba - Who can You Trust?
My issue first of all with Morcheeba is all their single versions are far superior to the album mixes so at the time I bought both hehe. I was absolutely addicted to the song 'Tape Loop' but so many other good songs from this trip hop album. This was their debut album, it only reached #57 but was a steady seller selling over 100000 in the Uk and 1 million worldwide. Their 2nd album 'Big Calm' just missed the cut.

363 Fugazi - Repeater
Debut album proper from the US post-hardcore band, they were one of those bands that got played a lot at our regular indie night but I didn't know who they were at the time, post notably 'Waiting Room' which was released in 1988 but wasn't included on the album. This certainly could have been something I could have used for before their time as so much of this album has not dated at all.

362 Offspring - Smash
We will keep the hardcore going with the breakthrough 3rd album from The Offspring. For me this is their best album by miles and please everyone try to wipe their future horrors from your mind. The album reached #4 in the Us and #21 in the UK and has sold 11 million worldwide.

361 Madder Rose - Bring It Down
If anyone is wanting to hear more bands like Wolf Alice, Madder Rose is the perfect place to start. They have two albums on the list, this is their debut album and I am enjoying it so much, I think I am going to stop and play it in full. Just gorgeous shoegazey guitar rock.

360 Depeche Mode - Ultra
A very dark but brilliant return for Depeche Mode, some very strong singles and a personal favourite 'It's No Good' it really put them back on the map in the Uk especially as they had their biggest hit yet with 'Barrel Of a Gun'. It was a UK number one and US top 5 hit. Just love this sleazy video..

359 Cardigans - Life
Second album from the Swedish band and yes many of the tracks are very twee but as a St Etienne fan, they really appealed to me with their 60s stylings. It was their breakthrough album in the UK and actually contained tracks from their debut especially for the international market. They fitted in really well with the Brit Pop scene. The album reached #61 in the Uk and sold 1.5m worldwide.

358 Lightning Seeds - Jollification
Always more a singles band for me, this is the only album of theirs I bought and probably was the right one as it spawned 4 top 30 hits. Although been going longer The Lightening Seeds were officially part of the Brit Pop scene with this album. It reached #12 in the UK.

357 Radiohead - Pablo Honey
First appearance for Radiohead with their very underated debut. Overshadowed by the monster worldwide 'Creep' there is a lot to enjoy on this record. The track I have chosen is probably in my top 5 Radiohead songs. The album reached #22 in the UK and #32 in the US and has sold 2 million copies worldwide mostly in the US.
