If I'd looked at people's scores here before entering to Time Machine I might have noticed Haircut 100 isn't scoring as highly from most people as I'd like it to do. It came 4th bottom in that behind J Geils Band and Soft Cell who are both up there in the #3s of the year.
(It beat an unknown Yazoo song, an unknown Dire Straits song and Iron Maiden's "Run To The Hills" which is a heavy metal classic but I guess most of the voters aren't into heavy metal).

The Results:
16) Julio Iglesias - Quiereme Mucho (Yours) - 3.33 pts 15) Kids From "Fame" - Starmaker - 5.28 14) David Bowie And Bing Crosby - Peace On Earth - Little Drummer Boy - 5.83 13) Adam and the Ants - Ant Rap - 5.94 12) Pigbag - Papa's Got A Brand New Pigbag - 6.16 =10) Wham! - Young Guns (Go For It) - 6.44 =10) Culture Club - Time (Clock Of The Heart) - 6.44 =8) Odyssey - Inside Out - 6.89 =8) Soft Cell - What - 6.89 7) J Geils Band - Centrefold - 7.00 6) Kool and the Gang - Get Down On It - 7.17 5) Haircut 100 - Love Plus One - 7.33 =3) Soft Cell - Say Hello Wave Goodbye - 7.67 =3) PhD - I Won't Let You Down - 7.67 2) Yazoo - Don't Go - 8.44 1) Tears For Fears - Mad World - 8.89
Big gap between 15th and Julio in 16th, however Tears For Fears beat Yazoo with an average of 8.89 pts from voters - in fact it led right from the start! I'm surprised it didn't make an appearance in Time Machine.

It beat J Geils Band here but for me its about entering music you love if it does well that's a bonus.

4 songs I love from that list, and they all finished in the Top 5. Well all have great taste.

Yes a fab top 5, poor ol Antrap has never been as popular as it should be, I'm going to mentally switch it with Kool & The Gang to get a more accurate personal result for me
