97. Pale Waves - Black www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvArQfLjtv0Peak Position: #7Pale Waves had a great year in my chart with 7 songs making my end of year countdown, this one as most songs by them follow the Pale Waves formula, they sound like a female fronted The 1975 and most of their singles were produced by the band so that's not surprising

87. Manic Street Preachers - International Bluewww.youtube.com/watch?v=zcJ8BTAGqE0Peak Position: #1I wasn't sure where to slot this one, great song but I charted it in 2017 and it made my 2017 countdown, it then got to #1 in 2018 so its kinda over 14 month old at this point, anyway I went off it a little bit and downgraded it from great to very good so it maybe slipped 40 or 50 places over the last few month

80. Ghost - Ratswww.youtube.com/watch?v=C_ijc7A5oAc Peak Position: N/AMy favourite new discovery of 2018 is Swedish prog rock band Ghost, thanks to TheThorne I came across them but I only discovered them after he heavily reccomended their 2nd single Dance Macabre (#166 in my countdown), Rats was the first single from their 2018 album Prequelle, the album's theme focuses on Medieval times and the Black Death and Rats is no exception, they are making some of the best and unique music around at the moment. Seven of the group's eight members are credited as 'Nameless Ghouls' and wear virtually identical face-concealing masks whilst the singer has played numerous incarnations of 'demonic anti-popes', each new album see's a new pope front the band
