31/01/2019 Stella Donnelly - Lunch
(Ignoring one new track which I expect The Thorne will like) .... The Australian indie folk singer songwriter will release her debut album, Beware of the Dogs, in March 8, 2019 via Secretly Canadian.

I really liked her last single.
As for leaving a song for me, i have been off sick today so not had a chance to look I am guessing it must be new Cage The Elephant which I just saw on The iTunes thread. Will try and listen later.

01/02/2019 The Specials - 10 Commandments
A radical lyrical overhaul of the 1960s Prince Buster original (which Scroobius Pip was clearly inspired by) on this socially charged track featuring the voice of activist Saffiyah Khan.
Khan, shot to online fame after confronting an EDL activist in Birmingham, offers her ten essential tips for life while backed by the unmistakeable sound of The Specials.
The best thing about it would be watching Gammons go a bright shade of red at its message. Taken from their long awaited comeback album Encore, out today.

03/02/2019 The Chemical Brothers - Got To Keep On
The best track yet (IMHO) taken from the ninth studio album No Geography by the English electronic music duo released 15th April 2019.

04/02/2019 Grace Carter - Heal Me
The latest video by the Brighton-raised singer-songwriter with her arresting, piano-led pop whom is signed to the same management company as Dua Lipa and Lana Del Rey. But so far she is stubbornly failing to catch the imagination of the public despite quality releases.

05/02/2019 James Blake ft Travis Scott & Metro Boomin - Mile High
This low-slung trap-pop duet with Travis Scott featuring production by superstar beat-maker Metro Boomin is taken from the album Assume Form. It now has a shiny pop video (the track does not kick in to the 1 minute mark).

06/02/2019 Beck ft Robyn & The Lonely Island - Super Cool
This ultra commercial sounding track is featured in the end credits for The LEGO® Movie 2: The Second Part, which hits theaters this weekend (as is the soundtrack with songs from Matt & Kim, Superorganism, Dillon Francis, and T-Pain, amongst others).

07/02/2019 Pet Shop Boys - On Social Media
The radio "single" (& Track 2) from the the legendary English synth pop duo's Agenda EP out Friday 8th February (Track 1 is clearly too on the nose lyrically, and the BBC certainly wont play it as they rejected it to represent the UK at Eurovision, I guess they were scared of the rest of Europe voting for it in agreement with its lyrics), is the observation of the modern use on Facebook; Twitter; etc on smartphones & tablets.

I've listened to all 4 of the new PSB songs and this is definitely the one that grabbed me the most. Lyrically it's not the best they've ever done, but it is quite catchy.

09/02/2019 LCD Soundsystem - Seconds
James Murphy's group's second single in a row is a cover of an early 1980s original first composed & performed by a Sheffield synth-pop outfit. Yes it is a great cover of The Human League Dare album cut.

10/02/2019 Kate Miller-Heidke - Zero Gravity
The classical trained Australian singer-songwriter whose last three studio albums made the top four of the Australian album chart will represent Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel after winning both the jury & the public vote in Australia Decides overnight. It has already been installed as =3rd favourite to win at 12/1, far better than the UK's poor 2019 Melodifestivalen reject sung by a X-Factor reject Hartlepool busker non-entity which is one of the rank outsiders.

12/02/2019 Weezer - Take On Me
A couple of weeks ago, Rivers Cuomo's indie rock band surprise-dropped The Teal Album on us. Building on the success of their cover of Toto’s “Africa,” Weezer covered a whole bunch of pop classics that everyone knows. And now they’ve made a video for one of those tracks effectively paying homage to it's famous MTV Award winning video too.
