For me the use of the Night King's dragon just undermines the 'wow' factor of him raising him from the dead last season. He did hardly anything with it at Winterfell at all, so essentially it was used once to bring down the wall (if that's not proof enough that it's capable of insane levels of destruction, regardless of being a zombie, I don't know what is) and then wasn't much use for anything at all after that.
For me the threat of the 'dead' was just completely undermined in episode 3.
