DEBUTS: In the "Always There" debut from Madji'k, is it 2019 or 1979? In this retro sounding, gospel like, vocal anthem a super hook is intertwined among some nice pleasing House rhythms. Madji'k samples the 1991 Incognito & Jocelyn Brown original and takes it all up a notch or three. Michael Gray samples Sylvester's "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" in his latest, "24 7 People". A bit more mellow than his usual but all in all a great Contemporary and Progressive House jam. His official release date is April 8th. Daniel Rangone is "Burnin Up" in "Burnin," another rather mellow but sultry sounding Progressive House track. A great job is done conveying the scorching heat! "Number One DJ" has been sampled, but not quite as much as Sylvester's classic. Pagnay has a new remix (in 2016 we went with the Sudad G mix over his mix of the song). His 2019 Contemporary House remix is unique and good enough to spin it all over!
CHART TALK: Lizzo's "Juice" is languishing near the bottom of the official USA Club Chart. Those extra points were just enough to move her unique track up and over "Funky Fashion" from Caira.
