....it's a tie!
So back up rules kick in. Decider will go to most top votes, then 10's, and so on......

Some great songs there. I've thoroughly enjoyed Time Machine: 1980s. Thank you very much to everyone who took part, and especially to Smurfie for hosting so well. Presumably, Razzle Dazzle gets to host the next edition, as he won this one. Congratulations, daz.

For once I agree with the overall decision of other Haveners! Belinda was the best! - just a great pop song. While I always liked the songs I surprised myself by giving Men Without Hats and The La's 2nd and 3rd. Haveners were pretty clued up in the Predicta too. Great competition and at the risk of sounding boring once again thanks to Smurfie for all the work he put into this and rescued it.

Pleasure - it was great fun to run! I’m glad you all enjoyed, and thank you all for taking part. Well done Razzle Dazzle and Earl Purple on your Time Machine wins. I look forward to running another contest again soon - I applaud all posters who have hosted previous competitions like this - it’s quite the work keeping everything on track! Bravo all.

No I won the main competition but he can host the champion of champions round... I will pass on that. No point in me hosting 1 round

There is currently a Lingovision going on. After that I will check around if anyone is going to run something different that might clash, and will then open it to the contestants what decade we do next, which will be decided by a transferable voting system.
Possible decades will be 1960s, 1970s, 1990s and 2000s.

What is a transferable voting system. It's a way of ensuring that the Indie faction triumph over the Pop faction.

Whatever doesn't get picked for the next round will ideally end up being in a round later I guess we'll play 5 rounds of this and maybe once we reach 2020, have a 2010s version too. Not sure if we'll ever do a 1950s one.

Although I would take out the opportunity to "ban" a song from each year for the 1950s contest. In fact, I'd eliminate from every contest except the 1980s.
