Much better than Lewis Capaldi but that's not hard

It seems you need to make music as dull as dishwater to have and kind of success

His songs are very average, and the more he’s hero-worshipped, the more the ego is growing.
I’ve seen him live twice. The atmosphere for his TRNSMT set last year was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. His home crowd were going mental for him. Shame it wasn’t for better music.

I saw Gerry Cinnamon last week at the Isle Of Wight festival and I must say I can't remember much about him - but I was just wrapped up with waiting to see James at that point!!

I did hear one song on the radio that I found was by him, thought it was ok? But who next Barry Paprika, Colin Cardamon?

My thoughts:
a) I've never heard a single song of his, b) now I want to look him up just to see if he really is as bad as you are all saying, c) is he a relative of Sally?

He is growing on me but Frank Turner does this sort of thing so much better.

Frank Turner is excellent and so underrated The track I remember is Sometimes by Gerry Cinnamon, end of the day, he's doing it all himself, which is good for local musicians imo, and his songs are way better than about 60% of the stuff currently in the Top 40.

For some reason I thought he was more like Rex Orange County, I keep seeing friends liking and listening to both.
This just sounds like Boys Don't Cry by The Cure.

I've moved away from Radio X back to Absolute, not sure when I'll move back again. And that's only in the car.
So haven't heard the new one but heard Canter loads of times.

His new one was on my shortlist for my personal chart, which means I liked it enough to not ditch it after one listen but it still missed my top 40.
