I'm glad that the football league clubs haven't voted to allow Bury back into the league next season. I'm not sure why they thought they deserved special treatment.
As for Bolton, they should get punished further for cancelling those two games. Maybe just a fine though and a forfeit of the 3 points to the opposition.

I went to Notts vs AFC Fylde on Saturday, my first ever National League game. To be honest I was quite surprised at the decent quality, I’ve seen much worse League Two matches. Still, it’s rather overpriced for lower league football so I won’t be going that often, but just shows that dropping out of the football league doesn’t have to be the worst thing and you can still enjoy the football.

How many did Fylde bring? 50, you want to do some away games Robin, I still remember Salisbury City! Top 3 attendances in various leagues, just because I like looking at stuff like that. Premier League 1 Man U 73491 2 Arsenal 60292 3 West Ham 59918 Championship 1 Leeds 34956 2 Nottm Forest 27831 3 Derby County 26785 League 1 1 Sunderland 30279 2 Ipswich 20140 3 Portsmouth 18078 League 2 1 Bradford 1413 2 Plymouth 9860 3 Swindon 7106 Conference/National 1 Notts County 5670 2 Wrexham 4698 3 Stockport 4390 National North 1 York 2703 2 Hereford 2425 3 Chester 1963 National South 1 Maidstone 1861 2 Dulwich Hamlet 1707 3 Havant & Waterlooville 1402 Northern Premier 1 FC United of Manchester 1533 2 South Shields 1328 3 Scarborough 987 Isthmian Premier 1 Worthing 1014 2 Horsham 581 3 Folkestone Invicta 509 Guess I should do the bottom 3 in each as well

The bottom three would also be interesting although the maximum capacity figures would add context for the higher leagues. For example, I assume Bournemouth will be the lowest in the Premier League but that is simply because of their ground capacity.

How much money does each team get in the Prem again, I'm sure they could add 5-10000 somewhere at their stadium without getting into debt?

You can see why they want a breakaway league when you look at that, Liverpool on three times more than Huddersfield/Watford and they only get 56m/38m more, I mean that wont even buy a very good player anymore!

Glasgow Rangers manager taking his position (about 15 minutes ago) for the second half of Rangers v Hamilton Academical with the home side winning 2-0 face paints a thousand words:

I know noone likes Leeds, but they had a penalty given against them in the Milwall game and a straight red card?!? I thought you didn't get the double jeopardy unless it was deemed dangerous? From what I could see, there was barely any contact to even warrant a penalty, so I'm not sure why noone is asking why a red card was issued, because it potentially changes the game? I assume if the ref was being assessed, he'll be relegated, problem is that means we will get him in league 2, and they are bad enough at times!!!

I've had fog abandon a FA Cup game against Preston once, does that get many points? The closest I've gotten is an FA Cup game that got postponed due to snow. The rearranged game was 3 weeks later, I made it there, saw Eduardo's comeback goals, and met Alan Davies after the match. Aside from that, there was a weekend when Arsenal v Everton was one of about six or seven games left on across the country due to snow, we drew 2-2. Coldest I've ever been at the football, it was snowing heavily during the match.

I travelled up to Coventry for an FA Cup match (when Coventry were in the Premier League) against Woking only for the match to be postponed minutes before kick-off.

Reading sacked Gomes on Wednesday, depressing. I know things had rather fallen apart in the last month after a very bright start but the players thought highly of him (don't know about the new players but the ones here last season certainly did) and he had built a rapport with the fans, more than any manager we've had since McDermott. Every team goes through a bad run, he kept us up last season when many would have thought he wouldn't, and he's lasted barely 10 months! I wanted him to get longer to try and turn around the bad run.
Tbh, despite some of his substitutions being 'interesting' during the bad run, I blame myself more than him.

Good grief!
Southampton 0 Leicester 9
It's the joint highest Premier League victory (with Man Utd 9 Ipswich 0 in 1995). Both Jamie Vardy and former Newcastle player Ayoze Perez scored hat-tricks. And a bonus for Newcastle - we move out of the bottom three thanks to Southampton's now-inferior goal difference.

And the biggest away win in over 130 years of top flight football in England.

It has been a long time coming. Two successive last minute escapes from relegation; a terrible recruitment process which has wasted a fortune; a stay-away Chinese owner who hasn't a clue; and a bunch of complacent players on long, over-inflated contracts.
The Southampton side that drew with Leicester in October 2015 included two relatively unknown recent signings by the name of Virgil Van Dijk and Sadio Mane. I wonder what happened to them ? Southampton were on their way to a 6th placed finish that season, having finished 7th the previous year. Leicester, of course, finished 1st having risen from 14th the previous year.
