I wouldn't quite describe this as a "I can't believe it wasn't a hit" record but I did think that this would at least make the lower reaches of the top 75 at the end of 1979 / the beginning of 1980 as it had a lot of plays on Radio 1 around that time. I quite liked the record but I could imagine it would annoy some people due to its quirkiness.

In honour of the fact that this record is the best selling physical single this week following a re-release on vinyl, here's a track that should have been a massive hit yet unbelievably it failed to chart. It was first released on Factory records in May 1979 and then in a re-recorded version on Dindisc records in September 1979. The latter got quite a number of plays on Radio 1. The Dindisc release was re-issued in March 1980 which is when I bought the single. It still sounds excellent.

This wasnt a hit at all. First released in 1977 the 12" mix became a very popular soul dance track in the early 80s and is still played a lot in the West Midlands to this day

Jonas Blue ft Chelcee Grimes, TINI, Jhay Cortez - Wild
I know this is only a recent one, but how did this song and a half do absolutely nothing at all!! It had top ten written all over it. So much so did it not only do nothing anywhere, I only heard by chance TODAY - so am going to stream it death for the next couple of hours.
Chelcee also plays for Fulham Ladies football fans.
