I am finding it really hard in this non physical age to remember my favourite songs of the 10s. It will be a best of 10s time next year and its so hard. In the past I had albums and singles to keep them in my head.
So have you rediscovered a song recently that you completely forgot and don't want to. This is mine. whats yours?
This is Day Wave's best song and he didn't include it on his album, this will be in my top 1000 of the 10s if i remember!
Day Wave - Come Home Now

As the size of my charts and playlists increased it became far more common that a song that got high in my chart is one I wouldn't know or be able to see the title and remember how it goes.
Applies even to many #2s, and possibly the occasional #1, and far more common for #3 and lower.
I'm sure the high volume / turnover of new music I listen to has caused that.

I would post some but I forgot them and cant remember them now ha
My Spotify playlists are essential for keeping records of what I liked, they go back to 2013 so I am missing a few years of the 10's

Yep, I went through my older Spotify playlists and found quite a few songs I'd loved but forgotten all about.
The other thing in the digital age is it's a lot easier to not notice an act's new album coming out, especially if it's not something that would chart and therefore show up here.

This is why I don't really want to fully embrace streaming platforms. I'll use them (specifically Google Play Music, in my case) to discover new artists and if I like them, I might buy their albums on CD, like a 'try before you buy' sort of thing, but with (almost) every artist you can think of being just a few taps of a screen away on a streaming platform, it's very easy for them to get lost in the shuffle.
