DEBUTS: Happy New Year! With chart eligibility for this year closing out on December 4th, these are our first tracks of 2020. We dive in head first with 3 sample and remake projects. Block & Crown marry the vocal hook from "The Bomb (These Sounds Fall Into My Mind)" (Bucketheads) with the classic rhythms of "Don't You Want My Love" by Debbie Jacobs. The result a pleasing retro trip and our top debut. Haji & Emanuel follow with a new remix of "Take Me Away" their 2008 Progressive House track. This time around the tempo is slowed down with funk and soulful vibes that transform it all into a nice Contemporary House jam...... as the original is married to rhythms from "And The Beat Goes On" by the Whispers in yet another Danceland wedding!
This year "Feels So Good" from Lush DJs reached the top of our chart with their release that sampled another hook from Stardust's "Music Sounds Better With You". Now, new artist, Jacki Flower samples "Feels So Good" (minus the Stardust connection) with fresh lyrics. Ever so fitting, their only flaw is that they tend to ramble a bit. Less is often more in Danceland. However, this new version, titled "Stand Up" is an enjoyable vocal, Contemporary House anthem. Jacki asks for change in order to help "the children of the world and their future". Right on!
Dance, Remake & Underground House Chart ON THIS BI-WEEKLY CHART
*Debuts enter at the bottom and are listed in order of strength. *Tracks are grouped together (like horses in a race). Tracks in one group/race can overtake those in another. *A track can jump.............by making a debut in the official U.S. Dance, Pop or Urban charts (SUPER TRACK). *Tracks are usually removed after 17 weeks, but can continue if a second/sister track steps forward.
