My current playlist is so strong, I think I'm going to be expanding the chart next time around. But, as for the chart built from the previous two weeks' playlists, Radkey held onto the top spot without much difficulty. Pop-punk as it should be, reminiscent of Weezer at their best, with a slightly harder edge. Unfortunately it doesn't have a video (yet?). Nor does the runner-up, 'Paranoia' by Like Optimists, who could be onto big things if they keep coming up with big catchy indie rock tunes as strong as this. Historically it's been rare for my charts to feature many foreign language songs, but in this revival there are two in the top 10, both new entries this week. Whyte Horses feat. Gruff Rhys is an instant toe-tapping glam stomp of the kind where the words don't really matter. DJ Ostkurve is a German-language song of the type of which there's usually one or two in Lingovision -- this one does have a video, and I've posted it up in the Dance forum. The second-highest new entry also has a European link, though it is in English. Major Parkinson. They're a Norwegian rock band who make big atmospheric songs with classical elements, who had a big #1 in my chart in 2013 with 'Euthanasia Roller Coaster' and also appeared in the short-lived 2018 reboot with 'Munchausen by Proxy'. This song is somewhere in between those two, and highly recommended for rock fans. Finally, there's Lynks Afrikka (below) -- new wave revival from Bristol that I've posted up in the Indie forum, even though it too unfortunately doesn't have a video as yet. You might love it, you might hate it, but you won't forget it in a hurry!

Radkey were my highest new entry last week, they always remind me of the Ramones, they've had a good few hits in my chart over the years, Dark Black Makeup got to #2 and my favourite Marvel was #1 youtu.be/NSsdUIn4u7oIf you keep extending your chart you will have a top 50 going by the end of the month ha

Glad to see Saint Sapphire returning. I fell on the 'hate' side of Lynks Afrikka (that's a bit strong, but I guess it would annoy me if it was played on a loop), but it does still stand out from the songs I listened to this morning!
