Andy,
I think I've heard of Hunters and Collectors but not really listened to them. Not heard of Big Pig. What a name for a band! I know Powderfinger and Crowded House.
I do enjoy listening to Aussie artists overall. I liked Savage Garden and was disappointed when they split up. But have been supporting Darren Hayes especially since his fallout with Sony Music. I think he is an amazing artist. Unappreciated by the mass.
Oh and i'm back to working day shifts again. And it's been a very nice sunny spring day here although it was cold and frosty overnight.
Paddy, sounds like you like alternative music. I know of the bands mentioned but not that big a fan.

I'm not sure if she did but she's been around for a while now and I wouldn't be surprised if she might have been a supporting act for those guys.
Midnight Oil = Peter Garett currently the Minister for Education in the Australian Labour government. How things change eh?!
I'm actually enjoying posting on here now. It's nice to share with people who have the same passion for music as I do. I've been a fan of charts since I was a teenager. Oh how I miss the early 90s.

I would have to say Bic Runga. She's a brilliant artist and just can't seem to break the UK/US markets. Her earlier stuff were better though IMO.
Btw Kimbra (featured on Somebody that I used to Know) was born and raised in NZ. Her dad is a GP here in Hamilton (North Island).

I'm into most chart music but am a big fan of George Michael, Darren Hayes and Jason Mraz. I also like dance music and rock/alternative. Got varied taste really. Gutted that George cancelled his Symphonica tour in Aus, was so looking forward to it.
I do collect the NOW series from the UK (although NZ has its own).
Well just finished my night shift so I'd better get some rest.
Cheers

Hi y'all
I've had my arms twisted by admin to get posting ;D Been on here for a while now but not posted anything before. Usually check out the midweeks. I'm based in Aus/NZ but very interested in the UK charts.
Hope to be more active here (New Year's resolution)
Thanx to the guys behind the scene for keeping this forum alive.
Cheers
Jp
