I would like to meet the executive that, given the chance to show West Brom v Gateshead or Blyth v Blues, decided instead to show Everton v West Ham. So that I can kick him enough times in the goolies to prevent his idiotic genes from ever polluting humanity again. Just like to point out that Blues have won more trophies this f***ing millennium than Everton and West Ham combined. After the reaction of the Blyth contingent at the draw I'm quite pleased they've been ignored for TV. Though Everton - West Ham is ridiculous. The other four were fairly obvious choices.

Taraabt is a cretin, but this is Redknapp here. An utterly clueless manager capable of deflecting any criticism he should be getting away from him, who consistently vastly underperforms compared to the budgets he's given, who constantly spouts contradictory rubbish that the press lap up without challenging.
Even as a Forest fan I was almost disappointed that they went up over Derby, but I'm loving watching them this year, they're a complete shambles and will be for as long as he's in charge.

Harry Redknapp is just an enormous pillock looking for somewhere to divert blame to given his horrendous management of QPR since he joined the club.

Not sure if my England supporting (as in going to games) will go beyond 2016, but it'd be great to watch them in the new San Mames.

Of the three in the studio, I thought she was easily the best of them.

The commentators and pit-lane reporters are generic, it's the same set for worldwide coverage. I didn't think they were too bad, it's not the easiest when the graphics were often wrong.

Enjoyed ForumlaE. Not loads of action generally but with it being street circuits and cars being so similar that was always fairly likely. Still enough to keep me interested though, even without the massive crash at the end. Heidfeld deserved the win! A shame it's over 2 months to the next one, anyone know why there's no October race?

I got 6. Three I knew and one was an educated guess. Surprised three is the average, I'd have thought 1, 2 & 5 were fairly well known.

Lithuania are actually ahead of England officially, on the basis that they received one fewer yellow card.

West Ham is odd. Because it would make so much sense to sack a resonably successful manager who the fans don't like as the football's boring, and replace him with Tony Pulis.
Can't blame their chairman, one thing his time at Stoke pointed to was that he cannot spend big fees, just waste after waste.
Keane is surely nailed on for Villa too.

That's what I mean. Stockdale (+ now Stekelenberg!), Reither, Karagounis, Duff, Hangeland, Hughes, Riise, Sidwell, Briggs, Richardson, Kasami, Dejagah all gone + loanees of Holtby + Kvist, replaced by McCormack and a load of players from abroad. Mid-table fodder.

When we signed Mackie I said I didn't see the point in signing him when we already have Cox, but they're actually a lot more different than I imagine. Cox isn't highly rated amongst Forest fans because he's perceived as arrogant (though I wouldn't say more than most), doesn't score enough goals as a striker and is forever getting caught offside. He was superb under O'Driscoll, playing with or just off either Billy Sharp or Dexter Blackstock, and his best spell (for me anyway) was when Davies first came back, he played up with Darius Henderson, we won 6 in a row and scored for fun, though Cox didn't score any his touch, skill, vision and ability to draw defenders away and find a team mate meant he was at least partially responsible for a lot of the goals we scored. His goals + assists total in his first season was 18, but it was mainly assists. If it was 18 goals and no assists he'd be rated a lot higher and worth a lot more too!
Mackie will be alright if you play a pressing game (like you did at the City Ground last season), he'll be good for that, he's quick, won't ever stop working and is a constant pain in the arse for defenders, but his shooting, crossing and touch are all terrible. The number of one on ones he missed last season was higher than the number of goals he scored, I remember he got an 'assist' towards the end of last season which was typical Mackie, he tried to control a fairly easy ball on the edge of the 6 yard box, but it just bounced off him about 6 yards in the other direction, fortunately landing to Paterson who smashed it in.

Interesting people saying Fulham for automatic, I know they've £23m worth of strikers and some great youth prospects (Woodrow, Dembele, Roberts) but I think their manager is ruining them.

Whilst I think he's underrated I wouldn't get too excited about Cox. 90% of Forest fans seem delighted he's gone, and whilst I'd have happily kept him I think we've done well to only make a £2m loss on him given wages and only one year left on his contract. If he's motivated and the team play to his strengths he'll do well, just don't expect lots of goals and don't play him up front on his own, he's only really effective if he's playing off another striker.
Mackie is awful, but a large proportion of fans will love him because he has that wonderful ability to run around a lot quickly.

Team:Nottingham Forest Division: Championship Greatest hope this season: Promotion Biggest fear: The owner does something typically odd resulting in him falling out with Stuart Pearce, or just sacking him when we're doing alright, meaning we're onto yet another manager Most likely reason for success: We now have strikers who can score goals. Most likely reason for failure: We have a team that fans refer to as biscuits, as they break easily. Our three best midfielders and 5 of our 6 best defenders are very injury prone Best summer signing(s): Britt Assombalonga - club record signing, it's the first time in years we have a striker I'm actually excited about watching Most important player: Andy Reid. One of the best players in the league, a leader, creative and goalscoring force. I wouldn't swap him for anyone (who would realistically play at this level, anyway). Most underrated player: Well I would've said Simon Cox but we've just sold him to Reading, I think Dan Harding gets more stick than he deserves. Young player to watch: Ben Osborn - broke through at the end of last season and looked really good, will play a big part of this season, especially with the injuries our midfield will pick up. Player you'd happily drive to his next club: We've cleared a lot of deadwood already, and with Jamie Mackie about to move to Reading and Greg Halford transfer listed I suppose I should say Djamel Abdoun as he's still here and not part of the first team squad. I'd sell Kelvin Wilson to anyone daft enough to take him too actually. One change you'd make at your club: Appoint a Chief Exec, someone who can reign in and give proper advice to our owner. Have you got the right manager? Absolutely. Which team do you most want to beat this season? Derby as always. Cardiff too. Best away fans: Sheffield Wednesday are always good Best away ground to visit: I'm looking forward to visiting Rotherham's New York Stadium this season. Opposition player you despise: I can't think of anyone in particular. Can I say Steve's McClaren and Evans? Opposition player you secretly admire: After his Wembley performance, it can only be Richard Keogh! Where will you finish? Anywhere from 2nd to 12th.

It's a shame Argentina didn't win it with their Extra Time chance. It'd have been great to see so many Argentinian kids getting a 'Palacio' at the barbers.

SHIREBLOGGER'S TEAM OF THE TOURNAMENT1. Manuel Neuer (Germany) 2. Philipp Lahm (Germany) 3. Daley Blind (Netherlands) 4. Jerome Boateng (Germany) 5. Thiago Silva (Brazil) 6. Javier Mascherano (Argentina) 7. Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany) 8. Arjen Robben (Netherlands) 9. Lionel Messi (Argentina) 10. Neymar (Brazil) 11. James Rodriguez (Colombia) SUBS Tim Howard (USA) Marcos Rojo (Argentina) Mats Hummels (Germany) Giancarlo Gonzalez (Costa Rica) Alexis Sanchez (Chile) Juan Cuadrado (Colombia) Thomas Muller (Germany) Karim Benzema (France) Mine would be similar, though I'd definitely have Kroos in for Schweinsteiger, though he wasn't as good in the final he was superb in getting them there. I'd probaly have de Vrij in there over Silva. I'd have Keylor Navas as the sub keeper too, I think he had a much better tournament than Howard.

The final was probably the best I've seen Ozil all competition. He's not been their best and been occasionally quiet but he was great last night, certainly had more of an impact than Muller.
Messi pretty much dragged Argentina to the last 8 by himself, he perhaps wasn't deserving of the golden ball, I'd say Rodriguez was, but was still one of the best and most dangerous players of the tournament.
The scary thing about Germany is how much more depth they have. Marco Reus, Mario Gomez, Holger Badstuber, Sven Bender, Lars Bender, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Stefan Keissling, Ilkay Gundogan, Marcel Schmelzer - all injured or not needed, incredible!
