Ah, that good old raliverpool trying to mock my point by commenting on something he extrapolated himself incorrectly, looks like a déjà vu.
btw I didn't know Scissor Sisters or Spice Girls second albums were "even bigger" than their debut...

^^^which Madonna album you consider a flop? Her popularity went downhill post-hits packages even through she has always been able to recover. She was massive with her first 4 albums, released TIC and then was nowhere near as big with Erotica and Bedtime Stories. Then she recovered with ROL and Music, released GHV2 and flopped with American Life before recovering again with COTDF. That's on unconsciousness of people and radios, when an act release a Greatest Hits, that's like the best is in the past and everything new released is by default considered inferior.

One of the largest sympromes in the pop industry - I release my first hits package that sells a lot but then people forget I can still release new songs and following studio albums flop.
Examples: Chicago, Lenny Kravitz, Prince, Queen (US), Anastacia, Dire Straits, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Britney Spears, Madonna, The Carpenters etc.

BTW is not 'better' than her debut. It has been produced with much more money, got to be worked out longer, yes. It sounds better finished, with a more 'professional' sound, yes. But music isn't about finishings only, it is about creativity and inspiration too.
Creativity-wise, BTW is just incredibly cheap. There is nothing interesting on it, melodies sound horrible and dance tracks make you everything bar dance with their messy instrumentals. Take random tracks from the first singer out in the street, put them on hands of the best producers giving them tons of money to work with, they will add some sounds artifices and polish tracks to death, and you will get BTW v2.
Her first album wasn't good, but PF and JD are more relevant musically speaking than all BTW songs together.

That's definitely him on Keep Your Head Up.
On Breaking News, his voice is less recognizable but that isn't the first time a voice is re-worked intensively on studio.
I was listenning to Springsteen's 1995 Greatest Hits album yesterday, and even if I listenned to it tons of times, it is still hard to believe that's him singing on all tracks, while of course that's him.
I don't understand why some fanatics are over-reacting so much about this issue. They have not listen to final version of songs, they have not even see credits of songs, so I don't understand what's the point in complaining at the moment.

Bloody good result for Italy, including a goal from my hero (see avatar Yes, I have see this game (as well as France and Portuguese games, at the same time lol) and the the couple Gilardina/Toni in the attack has give me a very good feeling, they are great together. The Portuguese team is likely to perform well at the world cup too, their game yesterday was easy but still a good game by them. I'm not a fan of C. Ronaldo, but yesterday it was awesome, an unbelievable performances, similar with Figo's performances at Barcelona. About the French team... hum... lol... How I have to explain this ? Pathetic ? lol
