SPOTLIGHT (LINKS): #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30 (most others can be found on YouTube). Chart colors best viewed when logged in. DEBUTS: " The Power" by Snap gets a Contemporary House infusion compliments of Re-Tide's new remix. Although less Funky than the original, it's still just as cool. I favor the later half of the 7:05 jam which is more rhythmic and less vocal than the front end. New artist Stan Carroll follows with "House Is Soul" which is a hot keyboard driven instrumental House track. Block & Crown returns to the chart with his remake of Patrice Rushen's " Forget Me Nots". Her classic sees remake action often (the song is frankly, hard to mess up) and most of them sound great (as does this 2021 version). HP Vince puts another track on the chart and he goes waaaay back. "Hot Disco" samples " Bad Luck" by Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes (but with a twist). He dices, cuts and glues the lyrics back together again to create a new, original LOST TRACK song!
