Thats two big returning acts, now lets have something new to me
Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! are a French post-hardcore band but this is definitely a change of sound from them. Bringing back elements of pop-punk and screamo. It has been said for sometime Pop-punk is back and this is really strong evidence to back that up!!
Taken from their forthcoming album 'Gone Are The Good days' Out July 31st

And to prove the point, omg see what I did, lets have another great pop/punk release
Point North are back with the first track from their forthcoming third album. They are on Hopeless records who have kept Pop/punk alive these past years. Again a slight change of style as Point North adopt the modern pop/punk sound of MGK and Mod Sun but the mix between 00s pop punk and todays makes this even better
Point North - Nice Now

The only problem with pop punk is its so prolific, you could probably make just a pop punk top 100 so i usually find myself only charting the best 2 or 3 songs, think i have Point North at #99 for next week

Ok I could go pop punk every day this is true. So lets go proper indie rock today. So lets go for the best band I have heard doing the Oasis type Brit Pop sound for maybe 10 years, think the last band that pulled it off was All The Young and maybe The Twang.
Actually shut up what am I talking about we have Catfish & The Bottlemen
But this is very powerful, has some of the wall of sound aspect you get with Embrace, Kasabian and The Verve as well
Ok I have built this up, just listen.
BREEZER - Alive

Well there could only be one song for today. Green Day go Power Pop. This is brilliant best song they have done for a long long time. Compare this to Manic Street Preachers new single which seems tired and by the numbers and a punk band with the same lifespan seems full of life and totally invigorated on this track.
Anyway here it is
Green Day - Pollyanna

I like that a lot. I might go as far as to say it's better than every track on their last album put together.

Struggling for a song today and this is waiting on my feed. Brand new single from Angels & Airwaves. Hope this means a new album is back on track after the brilliant lead single 'Rebel Girl'. This is more of an impressive album track than a single but it pretty much rocks. Hints of The Zep in the production but very modern as well.

Struggling this week, for friday we have the return of Bleachers, first track taken from their 2nd album “Stop Making This Hurt”, due 30th July 2021. Its not just the name that's similar but they seem a bit Talking Heads with this one.

Ok saturday, this is the 4th single from up n coming Liverpool indie band Police Car Collective. They have done better but its a solid track showing that their debut album '1980' will be a really good album.

Normally pick up a song from the Sunday Rock Show. This is Gloo don't know much about them other than they are from Littlehampton. Just a very fun single, surf rock a genre we haven't heard for awhile. The Vines meets The Beach Boys

Might have to give up on this again, midweek releases that fit the remit are getting few and far between
So lets go back to a few I missed
Another track taking from Maggie Lindemann's debut EP 'Paranoia'
