He might need it, Howe has such a different style to Bruce/Benitez/Jones, playing the ball out of defence, fullbacks flying forward, In his last season at Bournemouth his team were making a lot of huge mistakes at 0-0 trying to play out from the back, they were giving teams 2-0 leads.
IF Newcastle open up and play expansive football can they win games? or will they get destroyed? I really don't know, good coach though and they have a nice run of games Brentford (5 defeats in a row), Norwich and Burnley all at home in the next 4 games

^ all are must win games too.
We'll see how it goes with Howe in the next few weeks. Being stuck in the relegation zone and without a win all season isn't the best time to start making too many changes with a team that lacks confidence. Maybe he might be able to bring out the best in some players though.

Brentford seem quite good at giving teams their first win of the season, so that might be a good sign for Newcastle!

Brentford's bubble has burst. If Newcastle and Burnley can pick up, they'll be in trouble. We might see the 3 that came up last season all go down again. Leeds are suffering a bit from "second season syndrome" but will probably scrape enough to stay up.
At the top end, I wonder how long West Ham's run will last and whether they can grab a top 4 place, possibly with Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool. I have no idea which of those big 3 will actually win the league this season.

Can't see West Ham staying in the top 4 but like Brighton who were in the top 4 a few weeks ago but it's good to have points on the board early. Top 6 is a possibility though. Back to back top 6 finishes would be something
Brentford still look OK, they pummeled the Chelsea goal and only lost 1-0 with Chelsea only having one shot on target with Brentford having a xG of 1.91 to Chelseas 0.27 and Norwich got very lucky against them xG reckons it should've been 3-1 to Brentford. Leicester can beat anyone on their day too, they've been a bit unlucky
Wouldn't surprise me if they beat Newcastle

Has anyone applied for tickets for the women's Euros next year? I've applied for the three games in Brighton (two group matches, including England v Norway, and a quarter-final).

Derby could be relegated before Christmas...
Derby County: Championship bottom club docked nine more points for accounting rule breaches
Derby County have been deducted a further nine points after admitting breaches of English Football League accounting rules.
The Championship club, docked 12 points for entering administration in September, have agreed to the dismissal of their appeal against that decision.
The latest penalty leaves Wayne Rooney's side on -3 points - 18 points from safety at the foot of the table.
It means the Rams are almost certain to be relegated to League One.
Derby have also been given a further suspended three-point deduction for their breaches of the league's profitability and sustainability (P&S) rules.
That will take effect if the Rams fail to comply with the terms of a budget for the remainder of the season set out as part of an 'agreed decision' between the EFL and the club.

^^^ Have to admit I didn't realise the UK was hosting it.
If they put more tickets on sale, I'll probably apply.

I'm pretty sure most of them wont sell out, I looked at it, but no new grounds for me to do sadly, remember going to Old Traffird to watch a game in the past, and also the FA Cup final at the Ricoh Arena, where sadly there was only about 6000 in

And at the start of the season, we thought you were getting many of the targets we had wanted, i.e. fans did. Macauley Bonne used to be our player too. Maybe you'll get a manager who will sort you out - we were right down there on 19 October after losing at home to Accrington Stanley, a game I also went to and we were terrible.
