A winning performer on BBC One's The Greatest Dancer is to join Strictly Come Dancing's professional line-up. Poland's Jowita Przystal, who won 2020's series of The Greatest Dancer with partner Michael Danilczuk, is one of four new additions to the team. Ukraine's Nikita Kuzmin, South Africa's Cameron Lombard and Kai Widdrington from the UK have also been recruited. The announcement comes after Anton Du Beke and Janette Manrara left the pro dancer line-up to take on other roles. Du Beke is to replace Bruno Tonioli on the judging panel for the next series of Strictly, having briefly filled in for Motsi Mabuse in 2020. Manrara, meanwhile, is replacing Zoe Ball as the host of Strictly's spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two. Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe and Neil Jones will return to complete the male contingent of professionals. They will be joined by their returning female counterparts Amy Dowden, Dianne Buswell, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Nancy Xu and Oti Mabuse.

Strictly Come Dancing is to have its first all-male partnership in the show's history, after TV chef John Whaite joined the line-up on Thursday. Whaite will follow in the footsteps of boxer Nicola Adams, who was the first to have a same-sex partner last year. The 2012 Bake Off winner described his partnership as "a great step forward in representation and inclusion". Whaite told Matt Lucas on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday it was "an honour" to take part. "When they asked me if I'd be interested, I just bit their hand off because I thought, to do that and represent the LGBTQ+ community is one thing, but also just to see two men or two women dancing together, it's not necessarily about sexuality, it's just about intimacy and respect," he said. "And I think that's going to be such a great thing in our culture, where men are sort of conditioned not to open up and not to be emotional. I think it might help to combat that. So I'm excited on so many levels to be doing the first all-male partnership." He added: "I don't think it's quite sunk in yet and I don't think it will until I find out who I'm actually dancing with."

Don't think I watched Bake Off in 2012 so never heard of John. Not seen him on TV since then to my knowledge either so this is a good gig for him.

Dragons' Den star Sara Davies has become the sixth celebrity to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up. The 37-year-old became the youngest ever dragon on the BBC show's panel of entrepreneurs when she joined in 2019. Known as the Den's "Crafting Queen", Davies started her business Crafter's Companion when she was still a student. It now employs nearly 250 people. The County Durham-born entrepreneur said her "mam and dad are going to be so excited" about her joining Strictly. "I'm really nervous because so far the producers keep asking me if I can dance. Truth be told - I haven't got a clue! I've not danced since I did ballet lessons when I was little."

Social media influencer Tilly Ramsay and The Crown and Cranford actor Greg Wise are the latest celebrities to join the Strictly Come Dancing 2021 line-up. He dedicated his Strictly appearance to his late sister Clare, with whom he wrote the book Not That Kind of Love . "My beautiful sister was a huge disco queen," said Wise. "She left our world almost exactly five years ago in a glitter ball coffin. This is for her."

Wadia played Zainab Masood/Khan in EastEnders between 2007-13 and is also known for her role in comedy Still Open All Hours. "A lot has happened in the last couple of years, and I just want to grab life by the balls and enjoy it," she said.

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tom Fletcher and his dance partner, Amy Dowden, have tested positive for Covid-19, the BBC has said.
The pair will miss Saturday's show and are now self-isolating separately, the broadcaster said.
The BBC added "that all being well, they will return the following week".
Fletcher, a singer, songwriter and author, is best known for being one of the lead vocalists of pop rock band McFly.
On Sunday, the band's Twitter account said he was unwell and would not be onstage for their performance in Glasgow tonight.
"He sends huge and heartfelt apologies to all the fans he won't see tonight. The show will still be going ahead, we're looking forward to seeing you all and need you guys to sing extra loud for us tonight."
